Blatche got off to a hot start and the Philippines forced turnovers which turned into easy baskets. France has settled in now, but they just look slow and non-energetic.

Good game france, calling it now, refs have an agenda this game.
Gilas players being bulldozed with no foul calls, stopping action every 30 sec....im done for the night.

      Typical point spread game.

93-84 France. What a show by both teams, especially the Philippines for being able to hang around against the 5th ranked team in the world.

          Quarterscores: 22-30, 23-13, 32-23, 16-18

I am very proud of our guys. Our team may not be the best we have right now, but I think we played with more heart than any other team so far, knowing that this tournament is bigger than ourselves. If we qualify for Rio, and it's by a VERY slim chance, it would be HUGE for us.

Of course, the heart of the Frenchman is not to be underestimated. They managed to hold out the Philippines long enough for the win.

Next, New Zealand. Must win situation for us.

Do you really believe this?I watched the game and at the first half refs were calling offensive foul at every possession of France.Plus some more fouls at 3pt attempts.Don't write those things in public.

The most entertaining game so far. A bit sad for Pinoys, but it was great effort nonetheless. Hope they kept some strenght for New Zealand tomorrow

That has to be the worst performance from our backcourt since a long time (defensively). The only player who defended was diot, all the others were more than embarrassing, the worst being Parker who is doing 'hardens' almost every game nowadays.

Hard to blame the froncourt, except Diaw, who was more than slow in defending the perimeter, and a center ghost in our offense when we were going small.

I am glad the philippinas were not all hot, because we were really close to losing this game, the score is very generous. Congrats for their game and motivation though, at least one team wanted to win and that was the hosts.

Such motivation and performance against Canada and it is a guaranteed loss. Looking forward to reading Collet's reaction, but that is just unacceptable from our supposed leaders and a total lack of respect of their opponents.

They were also calling defensive fouls on the phil players quite often. There was one play a france player just bulldozed the phil player with his backside till he fell and the foul was awarded to the phil player. But the fouls did went both ways for both teams.

I'd say more fouls were deserved to be called. Parker bulldozed Castro. De Colo rammed his shoulder into Parks 3 times. Both non calls and even outside the restricted area. The rebounding pushoffs were loose ball fouls against the Phil for some reason. All in the first half.

I said before France was gonna win. I didn't say or even insinuate that France paid the refs. Just that the refs did their job sloppily. If we lose then we should lose cleanly. Not be manioulated because big time bettors money matters more.

FIBA should make a difference not be FIFA or even the NBA.

But at least it wasn't the cooking show that was China.

France was paying 1.01 to win.It had nothing to s with betting.Anyway from what I saw the refs were quite equal. But let's see what others think about this.If you guys think that the refs favoured France big time I delete it.

Big time sports have everything to do with betting. Maybe not favour but prefer.
If you didn't notice I gave Les Bleus full props for the win.
Just that the refs panicked too much after the first qtr and started controlling the game from then on.

If you see it quite equal, I respect your opinion and disagree at the same time.

Well nice to see my observation being seconded by the frencs fans, it was obvious from the get go..

Its not who wins or loses.. its the margin of victory where we looking at
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                          1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.
