Lithuania has other things to worry about, namely Greece or Puerto Rico in the quarter finals. Why would they go out of their way to beat Nigeria if they are already through? From Lithuania's perspective, they were up 4 points, not down by 6. Makes no difference to them whether they would win or loose by a couple of points. Besides, they could have also risked going to overtime, which is a bad thing for both teams.

Whew, that was close a one. If we'd have lost by 10 pts, we'd been second .

I'm THOROUGHLY disappointed with our game. Defense was horrible with exclamation point! Jonas, damn it, can't grab a two-handed rebound. I don't care if we're tired, we still could've put a lot of heart into the game. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Why wasn't Dulkys put into the game? That's a BIG question. He looked great in the friendlies, why not try him out in an official tournament?

SORRY VENEZUELA. It is what it is. Nigeria played their guts out and they won.

it is +6 for Nigeria with 20 seconds to go... why on Earth would Lithuania foul if they are OK with a max 9 point loss... they are first anyway...
why foul and make it -8 with a chance to loose by 10+ and loose the first place...
    +1
They did what they should have done to end up first. Why the lithuanias should have cared about who wins the match or who comes second....

once again.. it is 20 something seconds to go, Nigeria has the ball and +6... Remember, Lithuania can loose up to -9 ans still be first in the group, so loosing -9 and winning the game are EQUAL outcomes for Lithuania.
No man in the RIGHT mind would foul in this situation... why foul and make it -8 and give Nigeria a chance to win by 10+ and be the first in the group... of course they dont fould, NOBODY WOULD, unless he they are CRAZY

Well, if I was in Kemzura's place, I would have tried to win, BUT, as already mentioned, if we have lost the game by more than 9 (?) points, we would lose the first place of the group. So he decided to play it safe.

You are hosting a tournament like this and you act that way?

Musselman was an embarrassment and he got exactly what he deserved.
Why the f*ck we need to think about some Venezuela? C'mon, get real. We were just saving our asses to not be screwed at all and left 2nd in the group. With foul tactics even that could've happen. Venezuela has nothing to do with it

Why? Venezuela tried to show up and embarrass all of Lithuanian basketball. I hope to never see Musselman again in any FIBA tournament. Do you actually think that the Lithuanian federation is OK with how Venezuela acted? I assure you they are not.

The only good thing made Lithuania in this game was not making foul in the last possession. Risk to lose the first place, simply as that.

Now if Hugo Chávez want to send more tanks to LTU trainings he can do it. He's in his country.
