  • Most disappointing team of the World Cup

We're down to the final 8, and honestly the further we go on the less likely a new team is going to emerge for this. Naturally if the United States or Spain go down next round they'll win this, but for now lets keep it to the 16 teams that have already been sent home.

Out of them all can anyone top Croatia. Honestly had them in the medal round, albeit losing to Lithuania (if it weren't for their rebounding I might be saying them instead of Croatia). Did anyone else have high expectations for any team now waiting for a flight back home?

I did expect from Croatia to play a bit better, but after the group phase you could see that they don't really have it (yet). Except from Spain/USA dropping before finals, nothing surprises me. All other spots are out for grabbing.

Absolutely Croatia because of Repesa. But for the next World Cup, they will be comeback with great power no doubt!

I'm lithuanian and I'm realy disappointed with my team.. I know that we lost Kalnietis.. But the way we play is realy disappointing.. I'm realy proud that we are among 8 best.. And I hope that somehow we will manage to be among 4 best.. but the way we play its realy sad.. I think that we are lucky to be on this side of the bracket.. We lost that fast style of play.. Its not lithuanian basketball that we are playing in this tournament..

to be honest, i remember reading last year in croatian papers after eurobasket that croatia manage finally to get in SF after all this years with probably weakest roster in croatian history. i thought thats bullshit, but now... there are only two class players (tomic and bogdanovic) and even they are not extra class, saric is 20 years old, cant expect miracles from him and the rest? a lots of ok and even more mediocre players that has any team on tournament, nothing special... in few years if saric, hezonja and bender come near their potential croatia can expect good results

Puerto Rico. I somewhat expected more from them.

Argentina and Croatia were baptized as favorites by the media, but I never thought they could medal.

Europe has overdone it lately with the so called young and talented players. It's the more experienced players that make the difference when it matters.

Puerto Rico was who we thought they where. The only game they could have won but didnt was the one against Senegal.

Argentina was overrated by the media, they arent a Top 8 team this time.

Croatia was definetly the biggest dissapointment in this world cup.

I am sure, they will... They have got really different (in good way) talent and these players have great potential. I am really curious to see them at the same time on the court!
