        • While the rest of the FIBA world cup national teams are playing international friendlies, South Korea is playing against KBL teams as the tournament is nearing.

75-52 against Samsung as Cho Sung-Min was on target. Despite Samsung having Leo Lyons and Keith Clanton, national team's front-court contained them with Lee Jong-Hyun and Oh Se-Keun.

Korea is really taking measures that the players won't get burned out for the Asian Games. Playing friendlies against other national teams after the New Zealand series may result to injury and hamper their gold medal chances come the Asian Games. So the world cup is the last preparation for Incheon Asiad.

          • Looks like 2014 will finally be Kim Joo-Sung's swansong for the national team.

Joo-Sung also said the same in an interview with Hankooki that training and playing games during the off-season is starting to take toll on his body, citing 16 years worth of national team duty.

            • Good read on Kim Jong-Kyu, who is showing progress with his deficiencies with LG and improving with the national team. Kim has started 8 of the 13 friendlies for Korea.

                  • South Korea national team depth chart:

                    PG - Yang Dong-Geun, Kim Tae-Sol, Park Chan-Hee, Kim Sun-Hyung
                    SG - Cho Sung-Min, Heo Il-Young
                    SF - Moon Tae-Jong, Yang Hee-Jong
                    PF - Kim Joo-Sung, Oh Se-Keun
                    C - Kim Jong-Kyu, Lee Jong-Hyun

Park Chan-Hee and Kim Sun-Hyung also plays some minutes at SG, depending on the situation. Park plays defensive SG while Kim is used for the fastest tempo.

Moon Tae-Jong also plays some SG minutes but is really an SF. Moon is the sixth man of the team.

Car accident in June, leaving him with a severe pelvic injury.

It is a sport mannerism in South Korea. They say "Aja (아자)" meaning either "fight", "do our best", "play hard".
