Masango will clash with Kyongbokgo HS, the former school of Lee Jong-Hyun featuring talents of Lee Min-Young, Ko Hang-Syeok and Ahn Yong-Jun.

This is how Lee Jong-Hyun was included in the pool for 2012.

      • CKR13, whatever happened to former D-Leager Sung-Yoon-Bang and former teen sensation Choi Jin-Soo, formerly of University of Maryland? Why are they're not included in the 2013 South Korea NT?

        • Bang Sung-Yoon retired due to knee and ankle injuries back in the 2010-11 KBL Season. As for Choi Jin-Soo, he is now in the KBL, playing for Goyang. He was excluded due to a shoulder injury. Back in 2012, Choi was with the national team for the Venezuela olympic wildcards.

          • Kim Joo-Sung was interviewed by the press yesterday and stated that he is more than happy to suit up for the 2014 World Cup next year, thereby postponing his retirement. The same could be said Lee Seung-Jun who said that 2014 is his dream come true.

^^ Both have earned their stints for the worlds and it would be the proper send off for these veterans.

Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-Hak said in a similar interview that Kim Min-Goo was the revelation for the team. The next step for Min-Goo according to coach Yoo is that the latter needs to get stronger and further improve his conditioning.

            • 8/16/2013 Kyung Hee University vs. Jeonju KCC Egis @ Korea Basketball Showcase 2013

Headline is Kim Min-Goo vs. Kang Byung-Hyun. It's Korea's current IT player against KBL superstar Kang Byung-Hyun. Min-Goo's earlier slashing days has drawn comparisons to Kang, but in my opinion, Kim shoots better at this point.

No Ha Seung-Jin for KCC so Kim Jong-Kyu does not have a tough match up. It would have been good though.

Thanks CKR, so surprised to hear about Bang , (even if it happened 3 years ago).

                much respect to Bang.

would have been a great match up. I would'nt count out ping in this match up. I've seen him go against big imports in the pba and he won't back down easily.

                  • Pingris is "one tough cookie" as one of the BTV commentators said. Pingris was a bit in pain in the game but he didn't want to be benched unlike some PBA players.

He isn't exceptionally talented, IMO but he is VERY determined. Must be the French in him. LOL

Oh was destroyed by a tired Kelly Williams. What makes people think that Oh can outplay Pingris. A healthy well prepared pingris destroyed Jackson Vroman single-handedly.

But beaten by Oishin Sahakian..depends on the matchups.. Kelly almost settled the score with Oh in 2011 after another career game against us in 2010 Asiad
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

It would be the perfect ending to Kim Joo-Sung and Lee Seung-Jun's NT duties. Korea has not participated in any major world event for quite a while besides the Olympic world qualifiers in 2008 and 2012, so this is their one last chance to be there. Hoping to see Oh Se-Keun next year as well as he is a vital component of their front-line.

                            • National team disbands for now and the named players could get together again next year when the pool is drawn up after the 2013-2014 KBL Season. The youngsters would get together and practice as a unit for the East Asian games.

Lee Jong-Hyun and Moon Seung-Gon = Will return to Korea University armed withe experience.

Kim Jong-Kyu and Kim Min-Goo = Will return and play for Kyung-Hee. They will be among the top picks in the KBL draft.

Kim Joo-Sung and Lee Seung-Jun = Plans to get healthy and go for their own championship run under Lee Chung-Hee.

Yoon Ho-Young = Will serve his remaining units with the armed forces and play for Sangmoo. Will return to Wonju Dongbu Promy February next year.

Choi Joon-Young = Will play for Yonsei. I expect him to have a good season.

Kim Sun-Hyung = He said that SK will return to the finals next year as they welcomed Park Seung-Ri aka David Michaels who will be Korea's naturalized player in 2015.

Cho Sung-Min = He asked for some time off after the tourney and will be going back for Busan Sonicbook KT.

Yang Dong-Geun = Alongside head coach Yoo Jae-Hak, preparing for their title defense.

Kim Tae-Sol = Skipper for Anyang KGC. Oh Se-Keun and Yang Hee-Jong are healthy again and KGC will be strong this season.

                              • So 6 players of the nt are at most college players and even one is just an incoming freshman?..

So our win against them is not just "Puso" it should have been "Pride"..
