Unfortunately ,,We lost Hamed Afagh one of the best 3ptr shooters in asia because of injuring .
Ouch!! That hurts. That hurts really bad. Afagh gives Iran 15 easy points every game. There was a time a few years ago when people were talking about him going to the NBA. That's too bad.

In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

oh he isn't an NBA calibur player but he is a VERY important player for Iran national team. especially from behind the arc.
but basically he won't be absent in the world championship, as far as i read in the news they will bring him to Turkey as a member of the team even though he won't play.
What has it to do with the fact that Lopez was invited and not Sergio Rodriguez (which is the reason I hate Scariolo)
Raúl López has played the last season with Scariolo. He knows the systems. He was in the team last year and knows everyone in the roster. The last time Sergio was in the NT was in 2006? and he hasn't played under FIBA rules since then. And López has been already training for 2 weeks, when nor Sergio, nor Cabezas or Sada have started the preseason.
That sucks. I have seen him play before, even in the exhibitions in the US, he has talent. I wanted to see him play us. Sorry for you guys.
Samad and Afagh (especially Samad) are very important for Iran, it is a catastrophe, especially just 5 days before the tournament ! I can't remember the last time we played without him (maybe 5 years ago !)
Iran had many problems this summer but the last problem was the worst !

Yeah, Nikkhah is very talented. He's got a lot of skills. So does Afagh, who I thought could play in the NBA a few years ago. This is really bad for Iran. This year could have been their best team in history.
