1. He told the coach before he joined the team that he wasnt going to come off the bench, and if those were the plans for him, he was going to step aside and let someone else play for him
2. Coach told him he was the starting SG for the team.
3. Coach Cintron goes to the media saying that he is thinking about a Arroyo and Barea backcourt
4. Ayuso sits down with the coach and discuss the roles. Cintron confirms the starting lineup of Arroyo, Barea, Lee, Sanchez and Ramos, Ayuso as a 6th man, Dalmau as the #10 in the rotation.
5. Ayuso backs out of the NT, as he said he would do if he wasnt starting, and returns to the island, the NT leaves for Germany.
6. Ayuso goes to the press and is interviewed...

well, I'm not so familiar with the depth of puertorican team so I can't tell much about their subs..
but what Udrih did was low, really low..
but you have to be stupid to pick Lakovič as a first PG instead of Udrih..
from what I understood that would be Bečirović's choice and not being first choice PG is the reason why Udrih left..
ofcourse that this is NT and noone can guarantee you something especially since we don't know everything what is going on on trainings etc.

Dalmau said that he step out of the national team because he prefer a young player in his position.

I feel very bad how he left the national team, I mean he is one of the best player ever in our NT. The show must go on, we have great players to replace him. Renovation here we go!

Guillermo Diaz is much better player than Dalmau, good news for Puerto Rico.

As for Ayuso, they will miss him. Sure he is old, but he still very good shooter and have lot of experience in top competitions. I'm curious to see how David Huertas will play, talent he has.

Manolo will most likely have a Barea-Arroyo lineup for 30 minutes every game and a good excuse after the epic fail the team will have in Turkey thanks to his stupidity. Really happy for Dalmau, he should have never joined the NT.

Lyon / França — O pivô Nenê Hilário foi afastado da seleção brasileira, que disputará o Mundial da Turquia, devido a um estiramento muscular ocorrido durante treino amistoso entre Brasil e França, nessa sexta-feira (21). O médico da equipe brasileira, Dr. Carlos Vicente Andreoli explica a o ocorrido com o pivô brasileiro.

— O Nenê estava recuperado da inflamação que apresentou em ambas as pernas e já vinha treinando com o grupo há sete dias. No último treino realizado na Espanha participou do treinamento coletivo, durante uma hora e não sentiu nada. Como estava recuperado, estava liberado para disputar o jogo amistoso contra França na sexta-feira, onde só atuou por 12 minutos. Durante a partida Nenê sentiu dor na perna direita e foi afastado do jogo. Clinicamente apresenta um estiramento muscular, no músculo soleo, que precisaria ficar parado de cinco a dez dias. Devido ao tempo necessário para a recuperação, decidimos afastá-lo do Mundial — disse Dr. Andreoli.

Na noite desta segunda-feira (23), o pivĂ´ JoĂŁo Paulo Batista se apresenta em Lyon, na França, onde irĂĄ integrar a seleção brasileira rumo ao Mundial da Turquia. JoĂŁo Paulo, que defende o time do Le Mans (França), esteve presente em conquistas importantes pelo Brasil. Como a medalha de ouro nos Jogos Pan-Americanos (Brasil - 2007) e o tĂtulo da Ăşltima Copa-AmĂŠrica (Porto Rico - 2009).
