The thing is that Nash doesn't want to take a spot away from deserving player. He never said he wouldn't play.

Serbia returned to the top after EC2009. I think that was the youngest team we ever had. Personally, i would love to see that same team on the WC without Jaric, Stojakovic and rest of the NBA players (Jaric is Real now, ok :P), becouse, this youngsters have a great desire to play, and I enjoy watching them play. With just a few players to would be good to come (such as Rakocevic and Darko) we will be candidates for a medal, for sure.

My expectations for Serbian team are modest. They should keep improving as a team and continue to grow together. Our main objective is London 2012 . I think our team will be at their best when that time arrives.

Lithuania goal firstly is to make 1/4 game. And then with luck (not to get usa in this stage) and with atleats 80% of our bet players we have tools to compete with all other teams for 1/2 game spot.I dont think we gonna win a medal this summer, our main goal is 2011 championship in lithuania to win a medal in front of our fans ;]

First, I hope for a successful organization on my country's behalf. The crowds in Izmir, Ankara and Istanbul should be good, at least enough number of people would be aware of what's going on, but Kayseri may need some heavy promotion (I remember only one team from that city - Meysu - in TBL and it was like 15 years ago).

Second, I really wish for a nationwide spark in people for basketball. That's what we need badly.

And third, some decent performance from the NT. If they fight like they did in 2006 and 2009, I would be happy no matter how far they can go.

Depending on the roster, I hope we can at least make it to the round of 16.

My expectations of the Boomers (Australia)

In terms of my country: Australia, I'm hoping that the "Boomers" are able to get out of the group stages.

Though we are probably the one is predicted to come 4th in the group, I'm confident that our frontcourt and our speedy point guard can elevate the performance to even 2nd or 3rd.

The frontcourt of the Aussies has improved immensely. We have Milwaukee Bucks' starting centre - Croatian background: Andrew Bogut, Houston Rockets' backup centre in - Danish background: David Andersen, Minnesota's backup centre: Nathan Jawai (a true native of The Land Down Under) and Spain's BC Valencia's import Matty Nielsen. In addition, former 2nd round draft pick Patty Mills to run the offense and to provide perimeter defense.

However, the area that will hamper the national team is the swingman (2 and 3 spots) department. Though ACB player: Joe Ingles has improved due to his experience in Spain and NBA tryout camps, this is a very weak area and hopefully, new mentor San Antonio Spurs' Assistant Coach Brett Brown would be able to reduce such an exposure.

I'm predicting that the Aussies will definitely reach the top 8 but if they reach the top 6 or even the top 4, I would be over the moon. But I am a realistic supporter of the "Boomers" especially having seen the talent and history of European and South American basketball squads.

Now, then it's known that Jasikevičius won't play and there are many questions about other important players, TOP 8 would be enough for Lithuania. I wish they injected some new talent into our NT, they would get some much needed experience and would be better prepared for Eurobasket 2011.

                            Asuming Pau won't be there.

If the US send a full or almost full squad > fight for the silver

If the US send a team without LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Howard & Bosh > fight for the gold.

Not reaching the SF will be a failure in any case.

With all these absentees? That's not very reasonable. Off course, USA will have plenty of talent, but let's not forget Spain almost did it in the final against the best NBA players. Looks like it will be a huge challenge for USA.
