I know what that means and it definitely fits. But wikipedia says the following:

"In order to get the citizenship, in the eyes of Greek administration he had to "change" his last name and thus competed under the name Milan Malatras while in Greece."

After that he had problems with Greece because he didn't want to make the military service.

I remember that Gurovic was also called "Malatras" because that was his greek name (from "Milan", I guess) and I loved it.
what? Most foreign names are written as they are AFAIK.
    Maybe Malatras came from Malakas.

Well the guy just copy-pasted names from the lithuanian site. They were adapted/translated to our language. Is it a problem to you? In local media we use our language as it is meant to be read by lithuanians! Names as well! You can consider it as a translation and not some kind of lithuanization. I don't get the point of this dissatisfaction (You are not the only that points it out, by the way).
    I wasn't kidding when I said I loved it.
