Spain is really looking not the same team this summer so far. Rudy seems completely different player all summer long, Calderon is not impressing at all. They will start rolling in WC anyway, I think.

a lot of the credit has to go to coach k and the rest of the coaching staff for instilling a style of play that is effective in fiba play and then choosing players who can execute that style. tough, aggressive perimeter defense and speed on the break are the key elements of this team's game. USA looks very strong. i was also impressed by navarro - he plays with heart.

Coach K is a great choice for this team...since he has to deal with this limited time team building all the time, being a college coach!
Obviously USA still needs work, there's still some sloppiness in there. However, they've stepped it up from the last 2 games

Surprisingly, Macvan took over the post in the few mins I watched and he was stunning. In every single game, he proved that whenever he is in the game, Serbia is a better team and now, with the potential of Krstic being left out of a few games or even the whole tournament, he can play a more vital role at the center position, with Velickovic and Savanovic at PF

As for the USA-Spain match, I am thrilled about the U.S. defense, but they don't really execute similarly well to kill an extremely poor Spanish squad. Is it a joke or what?

But as a US supporter, there are still things that concern me about this team. They have to be more effecient offensively. WAAAAY too many poor decisions and sloppy handling with the ball. I realize FIBA uses Molten brand balls, which have a different paneling, texture, and tend to be lighter and slightly smaller than the NBA's Spalding, but they've had weeks to adjust to that, so I'm perplexed as to why they can't seem to get their handles in order.

It seems that the US team would be getting better every game. Tonight are so much better in every single aspect of their game.
