Seriously the first rule on wild card selection is you must play in your region's championship tournament.

Yeah, it's true. But i wouldn't be surprised if FIBA changes that rule in this case...

Anyway we don't deserve it... we finished dead last in the additional qualifying round group behind France and Finland!!!

From the 4 Wilcards only one should go to a team that not belongs to europe.

Perhaps it should be Lebanon, because they should be the strongest team not qualified. America has 4 spots and the USA is already qualified. So they will have 5 teams and that is enough for them. Africa will have 3 teams and they don´t deserv more.

The RP remains the only Asian Country to win a Medal in the WC..... we would not want our record to be broken or equaled.

Depends what you want to accomplish with those wildcards. If you want to make sure that the strongest teams appear in that tournament, all wildcards need to be given to Europe - certainly ahead of countries like Lebanon.
If you want weak continents to be represented more in order to increase popularity there, you may give it to Asia and/or Africa instead.

Well one the most Europe can get is 3, FIBA rules only give a maximum of 3 wild cards per zone.

Secondly with Argentina sending their c squad to the Americas it's entirely possible they get upset, and I'd gladly take their A team over any country in Europe outside of Spain.

At the moment yes Lebanon are better than Nigeria(they showed nothing special in Fiba Africa and they don't deserve to go to Turkey) as for teams from Fiba America's well it depends on who goes directly, Lebanon is better than Venzuela and many others, of course not from Argentina nor Brazil( best two participants but I hope Argentina can qualify it would give a better chance for Lebanon), Puerto Ricco and Dominicans(this year)

Well considering that guys like Ginobili are coming off injury it's not a conscience decision to field the c team. Two they'd be competing against the 10th best team from Europe (remember they get 7 automatically) and the 4th place from everywhere else. There's no way they don't get in, and considering they're resume since 2002 and previous wild cards there's no way you can argue they wouldn't deserve it.

I certainly do, 'cause in my eyes, a country should be judged by its showing in the qualifyers, and not by its past.
In that case, you could give a lot of countries an automatic go and they all wouldn't need to show up with their best teams. I don't think that would be the right signal.

In bball NT competitions are in every single year, so it's hard to bring all the best players every year, it's natural that some might be tired, some might be injured or will try to rest to fully recover from it, so you want it or not you must look at the past (not long tough), cause upset might happen, but it won't mean anything.
If it would be system like it football (major tournament every two years and qualifiers to it are during it), it's ok, but in bball it's different. It's natural that players are tryin' to choose the priorities, they can't play year after year almost all year long.

In that case they simply have to deal with the consequences and make room for the countries that finish stronger in the qualifyers.
