wow. .i didn't know that Philippines is the only asian country to host the FIBA world champs aside from japan(turkey is considered a European country).and we are also the ONLY Asian team to win a bronze medal. .
In the U.S., unless you are all white, you are considered black. So,despite appearances, Kidd and Boozer are considered black. Having all-black national teams has become quite common, although not all Americans are happy about it.
I guess the one-drop rule still rules

Depends more on where you live really. In most major cities "mixed" is a perfectly fine thing to identify as.
Though it is true, typically if you're mixed you're more likely to identify as black. It's why African Americans can vary in skin tone from near white to very dark.
Still the people that get upset with that are extremely few in number, or at least not willing to say so publicly, and I'd argue that most of them aren't even basketball fans.

So far, no Asian team has replicated or duplicated the success of Philippine Basketball Team's bronze medal finish. Hopefully the Asian teams will perform well this WC.

Since ur a new member here if u do stay for a while u will notice the presence of many crazy international basketball nations here: Philippines, Lebanon, Lithuania, of course no need to mention Greece, Serbia, Slovenia,.....

In the last decade they won silver three times in the Asian Championship. They got a good reason to be proud of their team i suppose since regionally they are among the best.
Its almost certain that K. Papanikolaou will not grab one of the 12 positions of the Greek NT. The last position is up for grab between Pappas and Vougioukas now.
