Quarterfinals is a really long shot for the Lebanese team to reach. Imo opinion if we qualify to the second round that would be amazing (Not impossible though. We have slight chances against New Zealand and to a lesser extent Canada)

As for how many wins are needed to reach the quarterfinals it can be done with a total of at least 3 wins (2 wins in first round to probably end up 4th in group) and then pulling off a miracle and defeating the 1st ranked team from group C (most probably Greece or Turkey )

However all these r speculations. In 2006 we had 2 wins against France and Venezuela however we didn't end up in 4th place due to both Serbia and Nigeria (who also had 2 wins) having a much better point average than us.

Well football is the most followed sport in the world because there is always hope for all. Not always the top team wins...in fact not always the top team on the night wins. The best team can have 5-6 clear chances and not to score while the weak team may have one almost chance and score! bb is another animal, luck counts a little and only when the two teams are almost equal. Is simple really; in bb there are so many chances to score from each team that luck becomes irrelevant. The best would score more.

you have to let go the 2006 WC victory it's getting ridiciulous! It was 4 years ago, it wasn't that you crushed or even easly won that game,it was one game only and you have 0 chance to be in 1/4(that's top 8 of the world) with teams like Greece,Turkey,USA,Spain,Serbia,Brazil,Slovenia,Aus tralia who i think will advance to 1/4...not sure its possible for these teams to go to 1/4 becouse of the groups and format of the tournament, didn't get into it...

to them winning those games means the same as winning medals for Lithuanian fans..

if you remember your nations victories that's fine...but to add that victory as your main arrgument in every post you make...i don't know to me it's ridiculous! look trough the pages and you'll see. We deserve the wild card, couse we beat France, we could do better then other team, couse we beat France, we will advance to the 1/4 couse we beat France in 2006 WC..and so on! Do you see any Lithuanian saying we will win medals in WC, couse we won 2003 EC! We are realistic about how good can our NT do! There's Pride and there's arrogance!

Yes , some Lebanese fans do exaggerate but it's normal thing for people who loves the game and hopes for the better.

Our chances are 30-40% to reach the 2nd round , it's all based on the ability of our players to adapte quickly with the international games.

We got really experienced and international players , for exemple Rony Fahed and Fadi El khatib will be playing their 3rd Fiba World Championship , other players like Matt Freije , Jackson Vroman and William Pharis are well experienced due playing in European leagues , + our local players Jean Abdelnour , Ali Mahmoud ... have experienced those tough games.

i said why not the 1/4 that means i won't be sad if we qualified to the 1/4 finals. our chance to reach the 1/4 final are like 5% or less but why not. but for lebanon we will be happy to reach the 2nd round

I don't know, I think any team could advance to the second round in this tournament. The door is open for everybody. The beauty of sports is that there are surprises.
