Well at this point you have to say that Lithuania has a decent chance of pulling off an upset. I hope the American team comes into the game with a touch of intensity sapping overconfidence.
We have taken every game seriously and Coach K has stated repeatedly that they will not underestimate anyone. I have confidence in them right now. But yes, Lith can definitely pull an upset. Here's to a poor shooting night for Lith!

You are talking BS and you know it very well. Only thing, that's annoying for you, is that there's somebody outside USA here firmly believing that US will win. And your hating soul can't stand it, so you get crazy, create "douchebags" in your mind, only making a bitter fool out of yourself.
Well thank you for feeling sorry, that's nice! Most of posts here, however, include all kinds of funny words you could learn, for example: "may" "might" "most probably" "maybe". "Get real" sounds something a douchebag would say, so I chose to dumbly attack your opinion, and if I was wrong and you are not a douchebag, I am deeply deeply sorry .
To be clear, I don't mean to be rude and I don't want to start any flame wars, but your tone is quite annoying so you get what you get.

USA is undoubtedly the greatest basketball nation in the world right now with loads of highly skilled players. Team USA may be the strongest team in this tournament too. I have no problem with anyone, of whatever nationality, who loves and cheers for his team(s). However, prophesying does annoy me, be it for USA, for Lithuania or for Angola.
Team USA avoided most of the powerhouses, excluding Brazil, so I can't really say if they are as great as you claim. They are awesome scorers, athletic, fast and strong individually, so yeah, they might not lose this year, but to outright say they're unbeatable? That's a prophesy and prophesies are most fun, when they are proven wrong.
On the other hand you continue to show a lot of douchebaggery symptoms, I strongly suggest you contact a douchebaggologist nearest to you.
Also, my hating soul sends it's best regards.

Correction. You mean USA is the greatest bball nation in the world right now. Still, no other country comes even close to us with talent and the number of highly skilled players. Did you forget semi-pro, college, high school and streetball? I'm assuming you meant to type Lith is "one" of the greatest bball nations right now.

What do you mean?
Lithuania > Serbia 5:2 in official games this century
He prolly means that in population of 250 million people and billions of dolars invested every year they have better team than 2 million Lithuanians.
No, what I meant is, he's quoting a guy who's saying USA bball is the best in the world and explains to him that USA bball is in fact the best in the world. I'm just thinking maybe I had too much drink tonight.

Stupid American arrogance. Divide USA up into 100 regions of 3 million people each. Then marvel at the power of Lithuanian basketball supremacy.
Even re-combining the traditional basketball powerhouses of Yugoslavia and Soviet Union would quickly spell defeat for USA basketball.
Let alone, how about we just combine for a Team Europe, and also while we are at it, a Team South America, to equalize population levels? Not so much USA dominance then, mate.
Do you also cheer when your big city 5A high school with 3000 students beats the 1A school with 200 students? Lithuania making the final four, with half the population of Arizona, is the real living Hoosiers experience. But go ahead and gloat. We are such a "dominant nation". Good one.
I don't know who and why deleted my posts but here we go again.Just a little example that proves how ridiculous the population argument is.
Maryland population 5 millions(blacks 30 %)
players from Maryland
Ty Lawson,Jarett Jack,Delonte West,Terrence Morris,Rudy Gay,Kevin Durant,JuanDixon,Jeff Greene,Keith Bogans,Roger Mason,Donte Greene,Roy Hibbert.And that list features only players who have played at Nba.Easily a gold medal contenter right there.
If you split America into the 50 states and let them qualify for the worlds, Europe would deserve to lose half their spots.
South Carolina which is a state with almost zero basketball tradition and only 4 million people mostly in rural areas could be comprised of ray allen, raymond felton, kevin garnett, jermaine o'neal, kwame brown, trevor booker, ramon sessions, Mikki moore, anthony johnson, josh powell and many others in the d-league and in europe. That team is at least an outside medal contender especially if they played together for a while.
The fact that it only takes 15 people to make a basketball team eliminates most of the advantage population gives you.
What Lithuania does in terms of development is really impressive, I just find Justin in AZ insufferable.

I don't even know why you bring this population argument as an excuse to justify your reasons which has no merit whatsoever.
They lost because they went against their style of play.
Still, Brazil is as arrogant in soccer as Amerians are in basketball, but everyone loves the Brazilians and not the Americans. That was the main point, the constant bitterness against "American arrogance" when other countries exhibit the same attitude with similar success and don't get nearly the crap we do for it.
Arrogance - yep they sure are, but at the same time - they put on a real show. Sometimes they seem to do simply incredible things with the ball. USA apart from 1992 Dream Team never looked like basketball gods team, playing very beautiful basketball.
Sure Americans do dunk here and there but thats nothing compared to what Brazil can do on the football. And Brazil stops getting love if they start playing Dunga style. The Dunga brazil wasnt very loved, they are loved only when they show their godly skills.
