  • Why do you think the Lithuanian team has been so strong late in games?

So Lithuania made up a 17 point third quarter deficit against Canada and an 18 point third quarter deficit against Spain. What do you think might be the reasons behind the Lithuanian team's late strength?

    1. A superior level of fitness.

    2. Deeper bench strength.

    3. The Lithuanian coach making better adjustments than his counterpart.

    4. Random variables. Sometimes these things happen. What were they doing being down by that much in the first place?

    2. Deeper bench strength.

(better than I saw in friendly games)

    3. The Lithuanian coach making better adjustments than his counterpart.

(defense more strong and atack more concentrate and efective)

I've heard that they drastically changed their pre-game routine. something to do with the way they 'relax' after a game and then 'focus' onto the next game.

I think they will crush the pretenders France, and make wine from their juice.

I think it's none of these answers. It's the passion, the fire in our hearts, which help us to play strong in late of the games. If you are not lithuanian - you can't understand that

              ^ Wut?

I voted for all 4 answers, cause its hard to say. Yesterdays win was due better rebounding and more points after turnovers.

LOL, so the fire is not there for 30 minutes? And haven't been much before 2010?

i'd say a little of everything mentioned before. fitness has not been an issue for lithuania for a long time, all teams nowadays prepare so they'd get into the best possible form during competition, and not before that. what surprising is our quite deep bench, which is a surprise to everyone IMO, since nobody thought that pocius or klimavicius would be of any help. and i'm not even mentioning gecevicius and jasaitis, who have not been themselves, missing all those open threepointers. plus coaching has been a huge boost in comparison to last year's.
People don't come with instruction manuals, that's why to figure them out, you have to press their buttons...

                            3. and 4. , well comebacks happen. both both sides have to contribute it to happen, how? many teams are not consistent , especially on group stages. If a team performs a comeback then hey they have taken advantage of the opposite team's situation(either mentally or phsically poor conditions). How would you do that? by coaching maneuvres by the faith of the players , if your coach is constantly vigilant and aware of his surroundings. Then he'll take the chance to pull that game. That's how LTU managed to do that. That's a great approach to the tournament. We again and happily have a great, fighting Lithuanian team on our hands. I hope you'll win against France.
