Marić has repeteadly said that his heart beats for Serbia and not for Australia..
I hope he won't have a heart attack today..
and if he played badly against the teams he doesn't like, how bad will he look against the team he does like?
Australia wasn't routed by anyone in the preps or on this tournament..
they had a bad game against Jordan which they won and they had a great game against Argentina which they lost..
Scola virtually did anything he wanted against aussie bigs..
I don't think Krstić or Perović can repeat that kind of performance..
Australia has a good inside out game..
Serbia plays a tougher defence..
I would say 50-50 game but I will be cheering for Aussies in this one..

I think Australia will get this one. Inside are thougher than Serbia, outside Serbia has a sort of Teodosic addition.

By the way, the Maric issue. If he really feels Serbia as the team he wanted to play for and knowing in advance he couldn't play for them, he could have simply said he does not want to play for the Australian NT anymore. As easy as that! However, playing for Partizan this seasson, I guess it has more to do with populism than with real feelings. Otherwise, he can always renounce to the Australian passport....

I always cheer for that team, don't know why.. I kinda like their attitude towards the game and the game style as well..
and also Bogut being a croatian helped..

But Maric is a perfect guy for you not to like. He played for your regional rival and now he will play for PAO (afaik not your favourite team).
Plus, his choice of music (Baja Mali Knindza...) probably doesn't help (at least makes me kind of sick...).
