    Well done to the Angolans!

It's great to see the unexpected happen. I'm not familiar with either team but I thought that the Germans would pull through but the Angolans showed that unlike the past when they were considered the ones to "make up for the numbers" they have showed the basketball world that they can play.

I revoke what I wrote in the first place after the whole truth about the German knockout has finally been revealed (seriously): Several German key players decided to go off schedule and eat Döner Kebab after the Serbia game and suffered explosive diarrhea the following days as a consequence.

Oh, It's not cool that I'm laughing my ass off, but really...

Did you have to say that it was "explosive"...

Off topic: Thanks for the stats, Robbe! Great work!

Well, the players had been away from home for a while and just wanted some German food. I blame Marcus Slaughter's influence on German basketball.

I am so happy for Angola!!! They go to Round Two!!! Congratulations to them!!!

Cipriano was brilliant: 30 points on 68% shooting!! Gomes had 16 points, 14 rebounds. That's fantastic. The game was very, very close and both teams deserved to do well, but in the end, Angola had a little more hustle than Germany, getting 11 steals,

I hope you didn't mean to say "Donner Kebab."

Slauther had a solid choice of food though. Pommes rot weiß

five minutes before tip off or Döner Kebab the evening before? I'm going with Slaughter.

@Matt: I'm completely perplexed by such a random remark.
