Actually It would be better for both Lithuania and Spain if Spain won today.. Because the only scenario i can think of that would push Lithuania out of 1-2 spots, is Lebanon winning both remaining games (Lithuania loosing to France). And if Spain wins this one and Lithuania wins against France, Spain has a good chance to still finish 2nd.

Lithuania losses to both France and Lebanon
NZ wins against France

And here you go Spain out of the competition.. So it is very important game for Spain (do or die)

Yeah loose today on purpose and risk not to qualify at all.. It is more likely then you think, NZ totally can beat France especially if France wins against Lithuania and the game has no difference for them, they might just decide to rest their main players. At this scenario, Spain's faith would be totally in Lebanon vs Lithuania.. if Lebanon wins, Spain is out

NZL +32 (against LIB) - 13 (against ESP) = +19
LIB -32 (against NZL)

So, if ESP loses by 1 to 22 points, they finish 4th. If they lose by 23 or more, they are out.

assuming LIB loses to LTU, ESP beats CAN, NZL loses to FRA
