Kazlauskas was inviting him for several times, but Papas kept rejecting. Then at some point of preparation for the tournament Theo has changed his mind, and even hired a personal coach, who would help him to get fit for the championship. But this time Kazlauskas said "No, thanks".

Right. That's what I basically meant, the basketball was better but the mental game was not up to par.

No offenses, but Yugoslavia was a better team than Lithuania back then. Deeper bench.

U can see the pics i took with him in the Lithuanian NT 2010 section

(I have been hanging out with him for the last two nights and he really is a great person. He even told me that I can sit with the Lithuanian fans section during their games and can join them when they carry the big flag during the timeouts .
I also plan on hopefully meeting him and the rest of the Lithuanian fans in Istanbul during the second round and quarterfinals).

    hot blooded..

that means big difference in the temper of players, coaches, fans..
you can't change that, atleast not in the short period of time anyway..
what happened to us, wasn't just a one bad call..
Do you remember Euro'95 final Lithuania - Yugoslavia? Who were more hot blooded then? Actually, I think in that game it was the temper of Lithuanian stars that cost them the gold - above all other minor things. They simply could not concentrate on the game at the end... and Sabonis has always been a bit of a cry-baby, that's for sure.
