The problem is Spain needs new people. I don't want to watch more Garbajosa and MumbrĂș in the NT, i.e.

And last year, Spain won Slovenia in the first group stage to "re-born". In this WC... New Zealand?
    FIRE THE NEXT ONE!!!

And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Zalgiris 17 times in a row.

I think that loss against Lithuania was a turning point, not just a loss, even a sweep I remember watching it with sadness, I think it was the first time that I saw that team completely dismantled, even though it was only a firendly, but you could see that the team lacked a good strategy

That's totally right, and i don't understand why people don't recognize it (in spain, I mean). And I feel absulutely happy of our gasoldependence, and proud of him.

I really wished he had a summer off, but our NT is affected, remember last summer he didn't play, Belgrado 05, and we didn't got a medal.
            GASOLDEPENDENCE.... I love it

                • Even after this game, I still consider Spain to be at least a medal contender, if not the favorite to win gold (USA and probably a few other teams may have better chances). You shouldn't write your team off too soon.

I'm glad that my 1000th post on these boards is in this thread.

I think Spain as it is might be one of the most talented teams in the world. Don't get too gready when you already have Rubio the day he learns to shoot the ball he becomes unstoppable, mark my words. It's hard for me too see any sight of an end for the "Spanish era"...

I know Garbajosa is one dimensional and ugly as hell, but he does shoot the ball with the best of them, and brings some rebounds on the table too.

the Spaniards are totally being overpessimistic right now. It's just being the last Eurobasket over again.
The greeks?we're not, but we should- with such a terrible draw infront of us.

                        • LOL, what a game, the Spaniards got the 20 point lead and relaxed...too early! But the Liths didn't give up -they had to stay close, remember?- and in the end they got away with the win in front of twelve perplexed Spanish faces.

                          • I feel sorry for both Spain and Lithuania kids who will have yet another Youtube video to fight over.
Lithuania > Serbia 5:2 in official games this century

                            • Very disappointing loss for Spain. I didn't expect this end, when Spain reach a comfortable lead in 3rd quarter. I share the opinion that Scariolo absolutely missed the way he managed his team today.
Congratulations to Lithuania, love to watch them play with big heart!
