Well, if you want to be the best, you must beat whatever is in your way, true champion never calculates.
See Yugoslavia 2002., we lost in group stage against Puerto Rico, and we faced Team USA in 1/4, we knocked them, and later become champions, and that is a spirit.
If you want to calculate to win a bronze, then you show a loser mentality, and you make yourself a losers.
nah..I would take the better draw than the draw of hell any day.And I hope the G.L help us get it too.
"The worst part is wondering how you’ll find the strength tomorrow to go on doing what you did today and have been doing for much too long, where you’ll find the strength for all that stupid running around, those attempts to escape from crushing necessity, which always founder and serve only to convince you one more time that destiny is implacable, that every night will find you down and out, crushed by the dread of more and more sordid and insecure tomorrows.~Céline
Another overstatement...look at your FG% and FT%. You can't play better than that.
If Ilyasova had a "normal", but still high 3pt% (e.g. 3/6 or 4/6) things would already be much different!
But, I like that a win over Greece causes such a wave of enthusiasm
If Ilyasova being a "normal" player, he couldnt play in NBA or Barcelona although his age. so, this is his "normal" game. We wait always. And Hidayet didn't play good. So, we can talking about balance
FT% probably our new "traditional" classic started with Efes Pilsen.
After Apocalypse anyone can be a prophet. If in this particular game with Turkey we were lucky (e.g. we had a high 3pt% and FT%) Kazla would be OK.
Athletic psychology it's a very complicated issue.Imo the "friendly" fight with the Serbs was a determinative factor. After that, the team was not nice to watch, even with inferior opponents. Coincidence ? i Don't think so!
Because they still in live on Olympos mount. They dreamed their old days..
I don't think your post deserve a better response than that.

i can remember some of the greek funs were talking about how poor the turkish guards. i guess they must admit the turk guards were amazing.
which turkish guards? Turkoglu was playing as SG most of the time! and Turkey was playing with 1 guard, 2 forwards and 2 centers for the time that they made the difference!
are you insane ? 50-50 when the refs with the replay don't count a clear 3pt?
Asik makes 2 fouls in the fiirst min and nothing ,when Iliasova had 6/6 3pts?
don't look never.
Sofo made 2 fouls and he was charged 5 same Zisis.
I think they were pretty good yeah.I expected much worse.
We certainly didnt lose bec of refs so I don't see your point.
Maybe it's the point of tsipouro.

i think you didnt see Tunceri. dont worry Greek guards didnt see him too...
This is the second most exciting thing you can do it indoor and you can do it in front of thousands. Well you know the first one and bedrooms are a bit small for thousands.
congrats for the turkish team. they won fair and square.
They should be patient though, because they rarely succeed anything in knock out games
As far as the greek team, we have lost our strongest feature in the game.
Although you were all whinning about giannakis coaching, defence was our key for success all these years.
Our team has some elite players in the roster, but we r definately not an offensive team. In all games decided >70 p we r struggling even against some weak teams.
Besides that i strongly believe that this generation has been spoiled by their huge wages (just look 3D, where is that 2005-2007 huge player now? he is more like a public servant after all these years in PAO).
Only exception is v-span who is every single year getting better and better and don't forget he was switched from SG to PG the last 2 years (not the easiest thing in the world at this level).
Let's hope our new generation with all these medals would come up.

Ozzie can attest to that "athletic psychology" stuff .
