That is the case for years, nothing new there. Greene, McNaughton, Harris... Germany is supposed to be building for the Olympics but their key guys are 30 years old (Jagla,Hamann and Greene)... I said it last year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the B division soon.

Schedules won't change.I don't see FIBA obtaining the approvals of the big leagues to make a longer tournament.

The only way there will be a change is if the tournament expands to 32 teams, although it will lower the overall level of the tournament (I heard it was discussed for 2014, but I don't know if it's likely)

With a 32 teams tournament, we might get 8 groups of 4 instead of 4 groups of 6, so it would make more games overall, but less games for the teams. (same format as the football world cup. Gold Winner plays 7 games instead of 8 actually.

In their team plays some players who lives in USA and plays in NCAA (if I remember correctly) so he speaks English for them.

Nah, I remember Germany losing to France by 58 in my hometown in 2000. (against the french team that would win the silver in the olympics a few months later)

2 years later, Germany got the bronze in the World Championship. A Dirk changes everything heh.
