France was shooting an amazing percentage from all over including free throws (i believe they only missed 1 free throw) and shot something like 70% from the field.
Gelabale was on fire. De Colo was also very good as well. The French also had many big guys (Koffi, Mahinmi, Traore) who were very physical and strong from under the basket as well.

As for our team Vroman played a better game than against Canada but our shooters were guarded very hard (Freije, Khatib, Fahed) had a very hard time getting any open shots.

Even when the game ended we kept cheering for our NT and saying "bassita shou sar Lebnen mitil el nar"

I don't like to talk about referees but the officiating yesterday was horrible. No disrespect for the French but they wouldn't have won with this big margin if the refs were doing a good job cuz Khatib was obviously frustrated and never really got in the game due to the officiating. Vroman also got fouled many times but no calls were given by the refs.

Anyways this is just one loss and the French are showing that they might end up in first place in our group since they are playing the best basketball in our group.

Today is a day off so we are relaxing.
Kerdito told me he wants to go watch the training session of our NT today so i'll see if i can join him as well.

    Yalla Lebnen Yallaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Here's some few pics that I took with some Lebanese fans yesterday:

P.S: To clarify about the wig (it's color is bright red "a7mar fe2e3" but not orange ). They didn't have normal or dark red bas this is better like this because everyone stops me outside the court or the streets since i grab their attention and wants to take pictures with me and they are all from many different nationalities (Good marketing strategy to promote Lebanon )
i was thinking that ahmed ibrahim should be in included in this team .along with daniel faris, ali haidar and julian. khazzouh.

    go go france

France s team was too tough on the Lebanese..
France's level is surprising after bad games results in preparations.
If France keeps playing like this, They will definitely be one of the first four teams in the world..

Lebanese team didn't find the way on how to defense big french players.. no good bench nor good shooting or creating spaces.. in addition to the rebounding ... This was killing for the Lebanese..
They got frustrated and panic.. many turn overs.. France played very good..
Hard luck for Lebanon and wish you the best in your next games

Guys, Immigration is one of the reasons on why you get an awesome team! as simply as it can be!
Look at Seikaly for example, he is not a native American, but due to Immigration he played with the US College Team!

So, lets stop this charade even if it's a joke! still, i wish we had a few extra more dollars and Chaquille O'neal didn't play with the US Dream Team! Then, bring ur game on! hehehe joking!

The main issue is to develop our very own talents that we have in our country!

4 Million Person + 15 and more million living abroad! Can't we find 1, just 1 single tall and talented Center??? Are we searching for the ring inside the fish ya3neh???

    Great game for France! Congrats

we were very bad, we faced a high level french defense.
we should learn and move one.
we need to win against New Zealand on Tuesday.

I think France is going to lead this group.

France trounced us today, they played a great game, were excellent defensively and physically.

I'm disappointed with this, especially with our second quarter showing. We're missing way too many free throws which is a big worry, one that has been haunting us for a while now. Something needs to be done about this.

Hopefully, our morale won't be destroyed and our players can come back stronger against NZ, we simply have to beat them, COME ON!!

i dont like this discussion as every country has its own situation but we never bragged that Vroman is Lebanese , he is our naturalized official player .
Matt Freije is of Lebanese descent and exactly from Zahle - Bekaa , you can google it if you want

Also saying that France has naturalized players is really childish so congrats for u on the win!
