Ok - here we go with the last window.
Here is my speculation on the FIBA Americas.
Canada (1st), Venezuela (2nd) and DR (3rd) take the top three spots and Qualify from Pool E. Argentina gets to the WC as the best 4th place record.
With Pool F - Brazil (1st), USA (2nd) and Mexico (3rd) get through and PR (4th) fails to Qualify.

United States officially qualifies with their win over Uruguay tonight. 88-77
US had a very strong second half after a very poor start.
Edit: With the results tonight Brazil needs to beat the US or they will be in serious danger of missing their first world cup.Last edited by Dtown; 02-24-2023, 02:24 AM.Pistons: 2021-22 Let the Motorcade begin!!

Seems that VEN, DOM, ARG will qualify for the FIBA WC unless we see some egregious point swings in the games Sunday.
If one of MEX (@ URU), PR (@ COL) or BRA (vs USA) lose Sunday they are out. Otherwise if multiple lose or they all win then point differential comes into play with PR -29 points behind Mexico.

Congrats on South Sudan... They are now talk of the town by qualifying their first FIBA WC appearance in their 1st try and youngest country on earth... Honestly, of all African teams should be avoided in the Draw, It will be them... I don't know what is their limit but they have potential to be a powerhouse team in basketball world...

Serbia lose to Greece while Belgium beat UK/England (Great Britain) in their Group I games... Serbia still in danger although their last game is against UK at their home... No way Serbia will lose that game... For sake of ticket sales, FIBA and WC organizers more needed Serbia to be there than Non basketball country like Belgium... Hope Serbia will take care of business against UK on Monday....

Ok, as a Puerto Rican I'm happy that we qualified for the World Cup, but can someone explain me how? We somehow got 2nd place in group F which I can't understand since we have a +/- of only 17 yet we have the same record of Mexico and Brazil. For the same reason I can't understand why Argentina was eliminated.
