Yeah it was well done. My favorite line is that prior to 1994 tournaments the USA had previously sent college players and factory workers. Factory workers ! I couldn’t stop laughing.

AAU/NIBL (Industrial League) teams topped college selections in several US basketball trials. Olympic, WC and Pan Am teams regularly had AAU players until 1968. At a time when NBA salaries were not so appealing, several high level collegians decided to join AAU keeping their amateur status. ABL pros (1961-end 1962) took over a couple of Industrial League teams and finally, when ABA became the legitimate second pro league in 1968 the AAU system collapsed.

The ABL professionals briefly took control of a few Industrial League squads, and when the ABA became the recognized second pro league in 1968, the AAU system ultimately disintegrated.
