Fair. It's rare. But ATM three best PGs in NBA are exactly those long one. SGA, Luka, Lamelo.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

    • Berke Buyuktuncel had his best game in the NCAA with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists with 3/4 from the three point range. He probably wont get drafted but its even better because his game suits Europe more and he can immediately perform in the EL. He should first learn Basketball in Europe and confirm his value and go then to the NBA if he wants to.

He has a huge frame and can easily defend almost any center in Europe. Should be a target piece in the Eurobasket 2025

You were so sure he's gonna become first rounder

There was a hope that he would develop that way. The truth is that his potential to score was low for the NBA and the hope was that he would become more selfish there. He is still offering a load of things that makes him very precious on the court. I think many slight injuries prevented him to show his true potentials but proving himself in the EL first is the more secure to develop

          • Samet Yigitoglu is finally showing everything we expected him to show, defense and elite rebounding. His touch around the rim will never be great and he really doesnt show any play making ability but he likes playing through contact and has the right mindset dunking the ball in his opponents face as soon as he sees the rim.

Alperen Sengun, Omer Yurtseven, Adem Bona and Samet Yigitoglu are our center pieces for the next 15 years. Really not bad.

            • The TBF U16 international tournament started yesterday with the game Serbia - Georgia and Turkey - Romania.

As was expected the Romanian team was too weak coping with the Turkish team but they played solid defense. The Turkish team is without Omer Kutluay who is with Real Madrid on the journey so we had the chance of taking a better look at Kartal Bora Simsek a very talented but also reckless guard.

I saw countless talented guards like him disappearing. I hope hell find his joy somewhere in the future since he is too talented but maybe he is carefree because of the prep games Idk.

On the other hand Darius Carutasu or Karutasu is a frightening complete prospect. There is nothing who cant do on the court. Really everything. His shots are great, he makes the correct reads all the time, he can solve every double teams by either putting the ball on the floor or playing the correct pass. He can also attack close outs with his great ball control. His BBIQ is above the roof.

At this point, I think he is even a greater prospect than Omer Kutluay. Omer has this leader gene though. Darius does not have it yet. Although he is the second best player he does not demand a leading role but looks like more of an elite role player. Technically the only two things he lacks are explosiveness and vertical leaping abilities.

Its too early but he looks like a top 5 prospect for every possible draft class.

I cant even imagine how he couldnt shine in the upcomming U16 EC in Turkey if you imagine that Omer will create everything for him.

              • Samet Yigitoglu with a 20 points game for MSU. At this point I am sure he could play Euroleague right away but he could also find a two way contract and try out his options in the NBA. He is a tall big man with no extras but he plays hard and has very fast legs.

                • The Turkish U16 team beats in the last game of the prep tournament in Turkey Serbia with 77:64.

The best players Omer Kutluay and Nikola Kusturica were absent though. Well, I am not amazed with this Serbian team.

                  • I must say the more I watch Demir Ozturk the more I like his game. His game is more suited to Europe but he could end up being an exceptional passer and we know how special bigs with court vision and passing abilities are. I have been watching youth tournaments for more than 20 years and this 2009 generation could be with the highest ceiling. In any case they are among the top 3.

The 2004 generation was a rock solid defensive team but offense was really weak. This team has offense and defense and probably two NBA prospects.

                    • Omer Kutluay in the top five in a international tournament in Barcelona

                      • Yigitoglu have played well recently. SMU can qualify post season tournament. In this case, he can be a second rounder in the draft if he maintains this performance constantly and puts similar stats.

                        • Onat is playing good. He has talent and spirit in him. He has improved his shooting. However, he is moving his feets like he is suffering. It is too bad that a talent and a warrior like him has physical limitatitions. I hope he finds a way to be effective player in high level.

Probably, we will waste Sengun's career with mediocre players. From 2004-2008 generations, it seems that we do not have any high level talents. I do not know when we will have a player like Sengun in the future.

Our front court is very solid. We have versatile skill set and a very good balance of offense and defense but our back court is indeed fairly weak. Our greatest weakness is the PG position though. As long as we cant solve that problem utilizing Sengun fully will be impossible.

Even a solid Euroleague PG would help a lot but our best guy is Kenan Siphahi, which tells a lot about our options.

There are four guys which I have hopes for the future. The first guy is Omer Kutluay which I consider to be a lock for the future. He is so good that he could fill a major role in 2027. The second guy is Melih Tunca who had an average role in the BSL. If he can increase his role next year he will reach the EL level for sure.

Derin Can Ustun and Kaan Onat must be seen as question marks since they have issues with pressure. One guy can change the whole picture.

                            • It is really optimistic that Kutluay fills a major role in 2027. Best case senario is to fill a major role in like 2031. There is a still a window to pair with Sengun but it is narrow. Also we do not know whether Kutluay can be high level player. I wish we have couple of guys to pair with Sengun, then we can be real powerhouse like Jokic, Bogdanovic, Micic.

An 18 year old Omer Kutluay should be better than anyone that we have rn. Best case outcome would still be Melih Tunca reaching EL level till 2027. Unlike you I am sure that Kutluay will be a top level player. Its the only guy I am sure of.
