Even with Derin Can Ustun, this team would have zero chance. 1 year difference at U18 is too much. Important in this tournament is can show Kaan Onat good things after his very very bad U16 european championship? The 210 kid Aldin Turkoglu showed good hands and upside at U16 and is very young, he could show interesting things. The other interesting players are of course 08 born player Omer Ege Ziyaettin and Sarp Coskun. I dont know Anil Alyanak but im interested too see the 08 born player.
The rest of the team is not interesting.
Look at the potential of Sarp Coskun, perfect prospect.

Kaan Onat is just too slow and can not shoot. It is easy to play with guys like Tunca, Demirel, Altuntas against BGL competition. He was bad in u16 european championship. He lost 1v1 against Ustun with probably better Efes team. He has nice vision, nice drives and mediocre mid range shoot with lack of physical advantage. I am not sure he is the main guy, plays all through 40 mins. If he is, probably we won't win any important game with u17 team.

Yesterday the most positive performance came from no 7 Anil Alyanak(08). He will probably play next year in Istanbul. Turkish players not only lack offensive talent in all generations, they also dont know how to play basketball either. Anil Alyanak showed a very good IQ on both ends and im pretty sure that wasnt just the case yesterday. But like many other Turkish players, he doesnt have good or enough physical tools. The only player with good physical tools in this team is Sarp Coskun, he is the only one who will not have big physical problems in 2-3 years when we will see them in the senior league. Yavuzselim Kara has the same body he had 2 years ago. That's the result of having a beard like a man when you are 15. No development in his game, no physical development. Thats why its so important to be immature.

Turks almost never disappoint you. Turks again are not able to understand what the biggest problem is in the courntry. Its of course the refugees. You can only fight against them if you give zafer partisi at least 5-6%, this would put pressure on other parties. refugees will be the end of Turkiye......
Look at this comment, this is the level of the turkish scouting. I have no desire to write in detail.

I am happy people have not wasted their votes on zafer partisi, which must first clear up their candidate's withdrawal in favor of Erdoğan in 2023. So far, they have acted like an AKP apparatus to steal votes from the opposition.5 out 6 scientists say Russian roulette is safe.

I gave all my votes to zafer partisi and I am happy with that. So far, zafer partisi achieved their missions. They let people know that the uncontrolled immigration is a big problem. Before them, no party was talking about it. And also, last year they broke the two sided situation which is the key for the victory of the opposition this year. The emerge of the parties like yeniden refah or buyuk birlik partisi depended on the end of the alliances. The withdrawal of the candidate is a problem but it must be noted that the candidate is not only the candidate of zafer partisi. He is also a candidate of an alliance. Considering the candidate of the opposition gifted the election to erdogan, it can be tolerated the withdrawal. At the end, I am happy with the defeat of the party in power. They are probably the biggest problem.
But now, Turkish nation will give the second independent war. This will be against immigration. If we can not succeed it, Turkey will no longer be the land of Turks in the near future.

Turkish basketball urgently needs to break free from its obsession with medals in youth tournaments. Despite winning numerous medals in youth tournaments over the years, it hasn't made us an elite country in player development. Let's face it, the reasons behind the medals were not our extensive talent pool of players but rather longer training camps compared to other teams, more serious preparation and situations like players being overused by playing for multiple youth NT teams during one summer. Forcing players who haven't proven themselves at these levels into the youth NT teams is simply a terrible decision. Serious basketball nations don't include their elite prospects in U-20 tournaments (You can't see any elite French talent in U-20 level simply), yet due to the flawed mindset within the federation that wants to showcase everything as rosy through youth medals, we were compelled to include our elite prospects. The age range of 19-20 is crucial for players transitioning from youth to senior levels, so it's better for players to spend their summers on individual preparation, which yields better long-term results. Therefore, we need to break free from this mentality and prioritize the individual preparations of the leading players of each generation over meaningless (let's say) U-20 championship successes.
It's obvious that the cumulative talent pool of the '06-'08 generations is weaker compared to previous ones, but this doesn't mean much. In previous generations, we could achieve good results with 12 out of 10 players being 7, but none being 9, yet this didn't matter at the senior level. In recent generations, despite having many mediocre players, in each generation, there's at least one player who is a 9 out of 10 and holds serious promise as a leader for the future. I believe that's what matters. Of course, we'd like to have a broad player pool, but unfortunately, despite our potential, the administrative and sporting infrastructure in our country is lacking. TBF is poorly managed, there has been an unresolved issue for years regarding the transition of young players to the senior level, there hasn't been a club focused on player development since Banvit, basketball education in youth academies is outdated, talent in Anatolia isn't scouted well enough, and basketball is heavily concentrated in Istanbul. These are all deep issues on their own, but when combined, it's no surprise to see the state of basketball in our country.
Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. The strong with less intelligence and comprehension can not cope with the less strong but with sufficient intelligence and comprehension. I like the sportsman who is intelligent, agile as well as morally upright.Mustafa Kemal ATATURK
