Due to his size, he was playing as C in local championships, but even if he doesn't grow height considerably, he can switch to other positions easily. He can beat his opponents one-on-one and has outside shoot (Shooting mechanism is good). I don't assign a position for a growing youth, but I got a great forward vibe from this guy.

I am pleased with what I have seen from this '08 generation so far. So many improvable players.
He is ukrainian therefore i´m not very interested in him but he will be U-NT-player of the 08 generation. Like Alp Kerem Yücetürk, Ömer Ege Ziyaettin(PG) it looks like that he has natural talent. And like Alp Kerem Yücetürk he has the chance to move to other positions but he is more suitable for SF as SG for example. At U12 he had good height, at U14 he was smaller as others. He is something like 186, of course i don´t know he could grow in future but this height is not good. It´s always the same, after the jump from U14 to U16 most of the "talented" U14 players losing their momentum and U16 is total different story, the best chances have always the real talented ones and the ones with above average big body.

Mustafa Ozan Celik(Ege Asist, SG/SF, 08) is one of those typical kids with good chances by moving from U14 to U16. Face like a baby, very young, really raw. Fantastic 1v1 potential and body, i hope he will not be too big for a SG/SF. TBF must treat him very special, he is a raw diamond, could become really special for turkish bb.

In the 08 generation Mustafa Soykan Bagadir(PF) moved from Izmir to Tofas, Muhammet Efe Sevim(C) moved from Ankara to Efes, skilled big.

These photos showing very good the character of Derin Can Üstün. Fearless kid with his speedy and creative game and much love for this sport. Still very young face and zero beard.

    • Very good signals of Berke Büyüktuncel. He must find ways to score and isnt very eager to do but everything else is gold and the best thing is he is the most crucial player of Tofas next season. He is one of the best rebounder of the team can put the ball on the floor after grabbing rebounds and is a very good transtion player, finds always the open man, he is also the only forward who can give the ball a direction and make plays for others from the forward positions.

Defensively a gem. He can stay in front of Dylan Ennis without help and block him. I am sure he can defend all five positions in the FIBA CL. I was asking myself if he can get 15 minutes but he is definitely better than Kabaca or Tanisan. I am expecting something like 25-30 minutes.

      • Amazing defender this Büyüktuncel kid. He even defends his own team mates if it is necessary. He can stand in front of athletic American guards. He is a very smart help defenders, reads every position. Smart enough to know where to help and where not. Great transition passer, great rebounder, can defend bigs and this kid is newly 18. If he can show some creativity in scoring safe lock in the drafts.

            • The ones who dismiss Büyüktuncel's NBA potential will surely get disappointed. A physical guy who can defend multiple positions plus owning well-off offensive arsenal is surely a NBA material.

If he can keep on his continuous development during next season, his name will be written on the top of the draft lists. I am hundred percent sure that he will be drafted. The ones who contribute to notable draft sites share the same opinion.

He has already made a huge impact on his team defensively during the preparation games. He will get more respect from his teammates as the season progresses because of his efforts, thus this will automatically turn into more share on offensive part of the game for him. Coach Prifris has been doing a very good job by believing in him. Display the gem you have.
Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. The strong with less intelligence and comprehension can not cope with the less strong but with sufficient intelligence and comprehension. I like the sportsman who is intelligent, agile as well as morally upright.

He brought the win in the FCL Qualifiers yesterday with his defense. I am pretty sure that Priftis will give him heavy minutes because he is the best defender of the team by far. He was yesterday very hesitant though and didnt take open shots. If his offensive roles grows in time a draft is realistic

                • It seems UCLA was also very eager to get Berke Büyüktuncel too but he turned down the offer and stayed with Tofas.

                  • Samet Yigitoglu started with a double double against Zvezda. He played 22 minutes and grabbed 14 rebounds and made 12 points. Should soon the first center in the FIBA windows.

                    • Looks like Yiğitoğlu will see heavy minutes in MZT Skopje. Not a big fan of him and I don't forecast special career for this guy, but ABA League is competitive enough to make him ready for next level. His role in the team will be clear after seeing 5-6 games though, I see MZT Skopje favors him a bit unsurprisingly. His buy-out is around 750.000 USD, Efes' interest for this guy is well-known so I feel that the club plans to make a good amount of money on him by preparing him for Efes. Understandable.

He will share the minutes with Evan Maxwell. He is no way a clear-cut better player than Yiğitoğlu, I don't expect him to surpass Yiğitoğlu's playing time. He ought to average minimum 20 minutes per game.

Bona, Büyüktuncel, Yiğitoğlu, Doğan, Konan and Haltalı. Performance of these guys matters a lot this season. Especially the first two names are expected by me to make huge impact on their teams.

                      • Büyüktuncel will see heavy minutes for sure. He is the only wing who has vision and IQ. He is gold as a help defender, he can defend nearly anyone at this level, he is a good rebounder and a solid transition and gravity passer. He just has to find his role offensively. Still lacks confidence offensively although he offers versatility.

                        • Mutaf can't crack the rotation in Gran Canaria as it is expected. He is not the guy of micro roles. He can't be effective with playing only 5-6 minutes per game unless he completely changes his basketball mentality. I watched few preparation games where he took enough minutes to display himself, yet he failed in those minutes. So dependent on his shot and he is not effective in intangible basketball. No room in high level basketball for this type of player.

He is the ineffective scorer of low-class teams. I will really be surprised if he can take a role in his current team.

                          • It seems Kabaca made a big step forward on the offensive end. I dont mean even his points but his actions when he gets the ball. He was always a low IQ guy, a TO prone but he showed a whole different confidence and calmness, shared the ball very well, attacked the rim smartly. He needs ton of work defensively though.

                            • Adem Bona improved his standing this summer, performing extremely well at the U20 European Championship in July and in well-scouted scrimmages against NBA players in LA, where he has demonstrated a much higher skill level than anticipated. He's now a projected first round pick

                              • Great game of Büyüktuncel again! He didnt make a single mistake against Murcia on the defensive end. He showed that he can defend guys like Anderson and McFadden just by himself. Even if he gets beaten he recovers swiftly and gives the help defender enough time to jump in. What I like about him is his versatility. He really can touch a game in many ways.

Today 4/4 from three but the good is he knows exactly when to select a shot. Never forces a game, a true team player, a guy every team would want.
