I think we al have been a little too harsh on furkan korkmaz, it looks like he has a chronic back or shoulder(I don't remember Exactly what the journalist said) injury which is why he hasn't really been like himself. The journalist said that the doctors coudn't figure out what was wrong even after detailed examination and that this has been going on for over a year. Furkan also said yesterday after the game that he will talk about these things when the time is right so let's wait and See.

I see very nice things in Serngun's development. Seems like he will be a beast in FIBA, unlike M. Gasol, Sabonis, Vucevic and such...Super flexible. If he can shoot even with some 35% taking 2-3 threes per game...Anyway, one day he'll probably be ALL NBA guy and likely superstar in FIBA. Good piece for Turkey, potentially the most dominant player of all time.

Both Osmani and Kabaca are for their age better then many EL starting PFs and big nonsence is claiming that yurt can play better on that position then natural power forward with shooting capabilities. Basketball changed a lot dudes, you can't afford anymore forward who can't stretch and shoot.

Also for Korkmaz is true that he will be garbage player until he comes back in Europe(Hopefullly not in Fener). Like I said we have big problem with shooting guard and maybe Ataman should try more with Bitim - Ulubay rotation on 2 and 3

When considering both the preparation games and official games, Korkmaz provides a somewhat decent scoring contribution, but falls far short of the expected in-game impact. He tends to get lost in extended sequences throughout the game. He is a significant defensive liability. He can not engage effectively through physical contact, thus failing to add any aggression to the game. In previous summers, he would at least strive to increase the tempo, but that effort seems absent also this summer. With his current form, he's likely to remain nothing more than a garbage time player in the NBA incoming season. His injury might have some influence, of course, but he hasn't found his shooting rhythm since the beginning of the summer. Especially in a tournament where Osman isn't present, he should take on more offensive responsibility, yet he defers also to Sengun. His conversion rate of created positions into points is also below expectations, plus the baskets he scores by creating his own shot can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Hopefully, he can make a difference as expected in the game against Croatia; otherwise, claiming that the contribution we get from Korkmaz against weak teams we play against could have been obtained from even Mahmutoglu at the same level wouldn't be an unfounded statement. In short, the upcoming season won't be easy for him. He needs a significant recovery. He's currently overshadowed by the stardom Sengun is achieving.

I really hope buyuktuncel bas a monster Year and goes around the 20-30 range. We really need him
To see the PF position as a weakness atm is nonsense. OF course neither SEK nor Osmani are a 2010 Ilyasova but they are fine and will get better and better. The far worse situation is rim protection and the pick and roll defense since Yurtseven has been doing a terrible job on the defensive end. I see Bona and Sengun as a starting five guys in the long term. We need Bona fill the gaps

An Ukraine upset against Croatia is very possible.

As I mentioned before, this tournament was an unmissable opportunity for players like Bona and Buyuktuncel, whom we expected to have significant roles in the national team, to integrate into the team. However, both of them missed this opportunity due to injuries. The only serious game we will play will be against Croatia and I don't think we'll have any problems in that game either.

If we ignore the fact that Sengun and Yurtseven heavily outweigh at this level, the most noteworthy individual development, including the preparation games, is Bitim's ability to create significant productivity and efficiency in the offense with a minor role and less ball usage compared to his club team. It's extremely important for him to show that he can contribute in minimal roles to increase his chances of holding onto a spot in the NBA. The most unexpected development for me so far is Kabaca being placed at the end of the rotation by Ataman. Although Osmani has justified the minutes he's received in terms of performance, I was expecting Kabaca to be placed ahead of Osmani in the rotation.
I am fan of both players, but in this moment Osmani is more formed package tbh. 2nd reason is that Ataman often plays with two centers, so their minutes are even more reduced

Playing with guys like Kenan, onuralp, okben instead of tuncer-melih makes a big difference huh? Even playing with a good okben instead of cedi makes a big difference as he is such a high IQ player

We need just Tunca and Ustun. No more naturalized player. We have a real star now for at least 10 years. Just build around him.

Right now our biggest problem seems to be PF but twin towers works and we have Bona and Buyuktuncel coming up.

Okben is with Alperen the turkish player with the highest IQ in turkish bb. And he has immense IQ in offense too, not only in defense. You can use him as 11-12th man and he can give you in some games much more as the normal 11th or 12th man. A real talented player like this makes difference in the turkish NT because most of our players dont really know how to ball. He has the quality to surprise in the important minutes of an important game because he has real talent and exactly this is rare in turkish bb.

First time in our history we have a leader. His name is of course not Ahmet or Mehmet, his name is Alperen. If we should start winning in ko games in the next years, the reason will be Alperen.
Yes we have problem with basketball iq in the team and with shoot selection most of the time. Furkan can't make even open shoot
