The best game of Sengun so far in the NBA. He totally dominated JV and fouled him out. JV was always way stronger than Sengun but now he can keep up with JVs strength. Sengun is on the other hand too fast for JV.

Sengun played an all-star level game tonight and he hasnt been taking too many shots from outside. His outside shot is gettng better and better. I dont care if the stats say something like 1/3 or whatever. The trajectory of his shots are great and the falling angle too. His ft percentage of the last 5 games are also great with 84%

He will be the best Turkish basketball player of all time.

I cant even imagine how I would have felt when this had happened with the NT. He should have made both fts but ok he has now Dirks one legged fade away shot. Its clearly unguardable and can be pulled off anytime.

Rockets went hell or high water till the end with Sengun down the stretch. Nice to see him getting the green light. For a 21yo to emerge as franchise player of NBA team is really interesting. Doncic (and probably Jokic, even though he became the key a bit later) territory. They kept him on a bit short leash last season.

Austin Reaves hits the game-turning three that puts the Los Angeles Lakers in the lead over the Houston Rockets. Then in the finals moments Houston tries to ...

I do not know whether he can reach the peak Jokic level which is the best player of NBA. If he can be selected All star this year and can be there consistently, he can make historical impact. Of course, it is just hypothesis but at least, we can say that he is ahead of Jokic and Sabonis at this point.
Jokic is another level player. He wont reach that level. But surely he has a much more versatile skill set than Sabonis.

Sabonis is a great rebounder but a horrible defender.
Also Sabonis has sureal ability to play within the flow and to be the main stream of that flow. Jokic and Sengun have fancier and individually superior passing skills, but even them, IMO (at least Sengun surely) can't play within the flow as Sabonis does. His multiple screens, multiple hand offs...I'm not sure there was such player before. Off course, Jokic on the same tier, but even Jokic doesn't have that motor and eagerness to play within the flow as much, Sabonis is a system of a basketball within the flow and he works with never changing motor. Rebounding and what I described here is what makes Sabonis unique.

The hype on Alperen Sengun is amazingly increasing. We have to point out his defensive development this season. He still has big issues in terms of lateral quickness which will never disappear and he cant stop giants like Jokic in the low post despite being a bit taller but he is getting better and better and in time his positioning will make him able to defend even better.

Offensively, his push shot and one legged fade away is ridiculously good. Reaching Jokics level seems not possible but I would say he is even now better than Sabonis who is supposed to be in his prime. He is definitely more versatile than Sabonis.

Very realistic for Berke 205-6, of course he meant with shoes.

Before his draft he said he is 6,10(208, without shoes 205, shoes are 3 cm), this is his height, with 19 almost nobody grows anymore, and with 20 he hasnt grown but with almost 21 he starts again to grow. In some weeks we will see again how he is half a head shorter as Sertac Sanli, Omer Yurtseven. Only Adidas Eurocamp, Nike hoop summit, pre NBA draft measurements are correct, rest is bullshit. NBA dates are bullshit also, do you think Sabonis is 7,0 and Jokic 6,11, Cedi is 6,7 and Alperen 6,11, in some weeks you can see again that Alperen is 1 inch bigger as Cedi, Cedi is 6,9 and Alperen 6,10, all with shoes. At Nike hoop summit Jokic was 2014 with 19 208(without) and wingspan of 220, he actually still grew after 19 and is now a huge player with most likely 210-211 and his wingspan and wide body. Omer Yurtseven was 209(without) at Adidas Eurocamp, he added most likely 1-2 cm too and is now a huge player with 210-211. People think its easy to be 210, its not easy being that big, we can see it in official measurements. In 2018 in Adidas Eurocamp Erxhan Osmani was 208 and Berke Atar 209 of course all without. Osmani is a good example, Osmani has 100 photos and video material with Alperen, Furkan Haltali, Sadik, he is always bigger as the 3. Melih Tunca is bigger as Kaan Onat but Melihs height was 193 and Kaan 195 at Euroleague side and now Melih is 196 at U19, Melih is most likely almost 195 without shoes, Kaan 192-3. Berke Buyuktuncel said in an interview in 2020 that he is 204(without shoes 201) with a wingspan of 214, today he is most likely something like 205 without shoes and at Fiba he is 206 and Hamza Mestoglu 203, in reality Berke is 2 inches bigger. We saw Berke several times with Furkan Haltali, Sadik Kabaca on photos in NT, but you must check several photos and many videos, not 1 photo etc. and then you will see how realistic is Berkes height is with something like 205(not 200, not 210, not 215). And best example was now Ege Demir with his 205/220(wingspan) at Adidas Eurocamp and Berke is always as big as Ege Demir.

I agree with you but Alperen seems taller in EuroBasket in 2022 than he was Olympic Qualifiers in 2021 and Summer League. I think he had grown that time. Also this season he went head to head with Valanciunas and he was almost similar height with Valanciunas. Also, I realized through the season that he is as tall as Jabari which is 6'11 in NBA measurements. Maybe, his measurements are wrong also but I think there is a little possibility that Alperen is taller.
