I like Prkacin, i really do. But Prkacin is some kind of Samanic-like 0815 player that can do many things solid but nothing really good. His ceiling is Dario Saric and maybe the perfect comparison. For Jovic it's more interesting to see development. It can go either way like Straight Forward wrote right. Total up or total down. Interesting player and atypical for Serbian basketball school. He looks like some kind of French wing with his playing style. But for sure one of the greater talents in the last years.

I feel the same way about this. His playing style is different and not really in the mold of our basketball school. That is quite interesting and probably have to do something with him being at Mega where coaches are kinda subordinated to talented players (NBA mentality) and they are allowed to play differently as opposed to some other teams and old school coaches who tend to keep talented players on a short leash within the system, which is of course not wrong by itself. It's just that some players are different and they need to be allowed to play more freely to show their potential. That's why NBA is absolutely the best environment for those kind of players that don't necessarily fit the common pattern of being a systematic player. Just look at Pokuševski, does anyone think he would be getting big minutes if he stayed at Olympiacos this season? Or would the coach put up through his mistakes in a try to do something original that don't fit the scheme? Or the same Jokić. He would have probably been benched the first time he tried some crazy pass that broke the scheme in some other European team. That's why Mega brought something positive and a bit of different philosophy in developing players. What I like about Jović is also his mentality. When they were down by 20 vs Zvezda, he still played the same way, didn't back down and never stopped attacking the basket. His energy was the same no matter circumstances, that's a good mentality.

Jović is atypical, but on the other hand Đurišić 100% fits the mold of playing style that is in tradition of our great guards. Complete package and offensive awareness. He might be a better version of Bogdan, a hybrid of Bogdanović/Danilović skillset.

Stefan Todorovic (Prolific / CA, USA) was called up for Nike Hoop Summit International Team:
Mentioned him here earlier. Great upcoming guard/swingman.

        SER Stefan Todorovic
        ITA Paolo Banchero
        FRA Malcolm Cazalon
        Moussa Diabate
        Khalifa Diop
        Amar Sylla
        Siriman Kanoute
        Charles Bediako
        Caleb Houstan
        Ryan Nembhard
        Guilherme Dos Santos
        Josh Giddey

Stefan has stepped up big knocking down some big time shots for Prolific Prep on the Grind Session. Big time talent out of Serbia making a name for himself o...

Nice round up of Todor's games in High School system - it will be interesting to see whom he'll chose for NCAA development.

Interesting podcast and summary of ANGT prospects in Belgrade. Nice evaluation and enthusiasm about Jović and Đurišić. I forgot to mention that Đurišić looked great defensively switching and disrupting passing lanes.

He will definitely be one of the leaders of the Serbian U19 NT this summer . By the way Jovic is making a comfortable transition at the senior level with Mega, his starting for their team and he's playing well, I expect him to be their best player next season. As I said, I hope our u19 team would consist of the players born in 2003 and 2004 plus Todorovic, but I doubt that is going to happen.

Jovic is the guard in PF body, the thing about him , he has superb ball handle and he's lightning quick with the ball ,I never seen Serbian player that size , being so quick with the ball , also he makes good decisions with the ball , very quickly and hes an excellent passer as well . If injury's avoid him, he will be in NBA the next fall. He's much better prospect than Pokusevski in my opinion.

Poku consistantly improving - in last 5 games he has 19ppts in average with shooting way above 40% for three. Still a long way to go but the last games he looks very good.

OK, that sounds like Doncic which Jovic is not, off course. I watched today plenty of his highlights in youtube and you overrate his handles a little bit. Good handles for versatile PF, that's true, but far from superb handles. It's still a bit loose, a bit high and a bit slow/lanky handles if we compared it with guard like handles. He can create his own shot and can probably develop into a secondary CF facilitator, but essentially he's more of a catch-and-drive type of forward rather than primarily ball handler (a la Bodiroga), even though still young and might improve at this area as well. So I wouldn't overrate his flexibility when it comes to primarily perimeter action with the ball in his hands, he doesn't have premium smooth feet work for that as well. Where he exceeds however is his incredible motor, aggressiveness, extreme attacking mode. I like his energy in the first place. At 4 he obviously will have an advantage of agility, quickness, mobility and skill (his jumper is a bit flat though, more arc is needed to perfect it, and he didn't shot the ball well in ANGT), but he's ain't no Doncic. I love his passing, very fundamentally sound. Summa summarum, I see a bit more athletic and explosive version of Saric.

For me best comparison is Bjelica to be honest, not Saric. Saric looks like and plays like he is totally phlegmatic. You cannot discover from his playing style and face expression if his team is up or down 20. I agree with most things written but one thing not and this he hasn't good foot work. In most aspects that are teached (starting transition, post moves + pivot step, first step by driving and upper body + ball fakes before driving) his foot work is excellent. To an extent that I would say for his position top prospect like. What makes things very interesting is that he does many things good by instinct which is very important for talented players in the making.

We shouldn't make LeBron out of this kid by the way, I totally agree with you. In first step it's bad for him, but there is reason for believing he could turn into a very interesting player. Of course it won't be possible to make this sprints through whole court with lay ups when he plays against (serious) professional teams but this attitude is something that usually just special players have.

That's a good (maybe great) feetwork for versatile forward (I agree), but not GF as the same Doncic is. That was may point. Pivoting, spinning around, steeping aside, stepping back, the agility and quickness of steps, density of steps, ect. That's guard like feet work. Jovic is not particularly there. But overall we agree on everything.

I never compared him to Doncic. Jovic ball handle is superb for his size , even in the last highlights against Buducnost, you can see that he's so comfortable dribbling the ball, its like ball is glued to his hands, and he knows what to do with it, drive, make the quick pass, he's fast with the ball and he changes directions very fast . I don't see Saric comparison at all , Jovic is much advanced offensive player, better athlete and he's not primarily PF, he's more SG and SF than PF . I have foloowing his game in Serbian Junior league all season long, Jovic has PG skills , its not that he can execute casual passes , he is a very creative passer , some Jokic like passes , outlet , bounce , no look passes, he can do them all.

                            • Good 20 minutes of Vukcevic in ACB derby. Way more mobile than I expected.

Very intriguing player. He has just turned 18, and became the youngest player to score at least 11 points for Real.
He seems to fit the mold of forward players like Thompkins/Randolph (shooting, defending, moving) that Laso appreciates and likes to play a lot of minutes.
He had clutch plays on both ends of the floor vs Barcelona. Impressive game against probably the best Euro team right now at such young age. Very promising future.
Shooting will obviously be his strength, and it would be nice if he develops post up game and rounds his offensive skill set as inside/outside threat.
