  • Kelena Azubuike to sign with Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors plan to have London, England-born Kelena Azubuike on their roster in time for their next game. Azubuike has been the leading scorer in the D-League this season, playing for Fort Worth. It's not known how long they will keep him as Monta Ellis is recovering from a shoulder injury.
It would be interesting if the U.K. national team recruited Azubuike. If they could get him, Deng and Gordon to play for them, they might actually challenge some teams in Europe.

Both have British passports, Deng came from Sudan while Gordon moved to USA when he was a child. I guess Gordon can't play for British NT because he already played for US U18 NT?

I think Gordon can play for UK because he only played for US youth teams. FIBA recently established this rule, or so I can remember.

„Mully phoned me in the evening of the New Years and asked if i like sambuka. I replied „yes“. And then he went to sighn a contract with Azubuike. I thought that he was talking about a drink, but he talked about a player.“

„Warriors“ coach Donnie Nelson said how his teams vicepresident for basketball Chris Mullin decided to sighn contract with Kelenna Azabuike.

            funny isnt it?

Azubuike scored 15 points last night in his first start for the Warriors.

He's having a great start so far: 5 games, 21.8 mpg, 10.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.2 apg and 1 spg.
