Serbia vs France game was the finals before the finals. Its too bad Bikic got injured in the quarterfinal ,he couldn't help much in the semi's. Also Serbian coach did horrible job managing rotations and the minutes of some of the players at this tournament.I am not impressed by the amount of the talent in this age group. I think combined 2005-2006 generation is much more talented than 2007-2008 in Europe.I don't see many top prospects here.

You cant give up a 12 points lead that easily.

It was so unnecessary. There was no hint of a come back. Greece made so many unnecessary TOs.

No, Spain is far too weak this time. I am pretty sure that Greece will secure Gold at home. You are too pesimistic.

    Do you remember Lazaros Papadopoulos?
2006 WC how cant I know him?

In my personal opinion, the current problem with young talents in Greece is mainly due to the euro crisis and the associated austerity measures. In addition, the old head of the greek basketball federation was not mentally flexible enough in his old age to adapt to a changing basketball world.

I do not care where their "roots" are. Anyone who feels Greek, e.g. because they were born in Greece or (at least) one of their parents is Greek and they got their Greek citizenship legally, I am fully in favor of letting them play for Greece.

Abosi is one. He was in your U18 team if I am not mistaken. He looked very solid last year but this year he was really bad. I think the coming Greek basketball crisis is not solely based on the aging/decreasing population but also in your raising quality and culture. Basketball became very fast and bases on athleticism and Turks and Greeks are not that athletic so new ways of being useful/successful must be found.

Especially, raising bigs is a big problem for the Greek basketball. Even big Sofo, Giannis or even Papadopoulos they all had fundamental issues. Giannis for example is really bad in defending post up situations. Generally, he defends really bad in the Greek NT. No Greek big that I can remember of could score from post ups. Thats your weakness.

We Turks cant raise guards on the other hand. Take a random Greek guard, lets say Mouratos or Liotopoulos. It does not matter. They are simply better than any Turkish guard. Of course sometimes a talent like Tunceri or Kutluay pops up but there is no system. The problem of Greek basketball is the lack of scoring.

The issue with the naturalization: Its not somehting that I prefer. I would even say I am strictly against it BUT if even Spain uses the possibility why should I deny using Larkin or Walkup? I mean if the Serbs are against it or the Lithuanians its honorable and the Serbs can afford it which makes them to a basketball country. We Turks are not at that level yet.
