Victor Wembanyama will Ruin European Basketball

OK, it's time have a thread for this once in 100 years phenomenon. From what I've seen in FIBA Windows this guy is completely changing European basketball. OK, WC and specially OG are different. There you can find A USA team which might even have arguments against France with Wemby. But France has been winning almost everything recently without Wembey and now they have this super prodigy. It's not even exaggeration that he has much higher upside than Doncic. Wemby makes incredible impact defensively, even now. Mobile 7'4 dude with incredible wingspan will always make scorers think two times. If he will stay healthy, it's basically game over for European basketball. France will be perennial champs most likely and will ruin the competition. It's even kinda sad in a way, but most likely we'll see even more dominant NT than Pau Gasil and Crew (Spain).

Ridiculous size, ridiculous skill, very good BB IQ, incredibly good attitude, incredibly matured personality for his age. This guy is the best prospect ever, IMO. And we had A. Sabonis, Petrovic, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau, Giannis, Jokic, Doncic, Stojakovic.

The only question is - is his body sustainable.

But in Europe, has there ever been a total domination of a single huge talent? As you said, "Pau and his crew" dominated but if you take "his crew" out, I highly doubt they could.

Nowitzki could not. Doncic or Giannis has not, either. Galis, Kukoc, Bodiroga and so on, similar. 0 or 1 title each? Sabonis is probably the best comparison but we never had the chance to see him roll with Lithuania.

And you know, regardless of how big other talents are, the Eurobasket will probably be won by Spain.

Good point. One needs a crew. But we have to say France is pretty good crew Another thing, I feel like Wemby will impact the game more than Sabonis, Nowitzki, Pau, Doncic. All these greats. Those ridiculously long arms and he can move. We talked in summer that if Giannis had a jumper it's over of the competition. Something like that coming in Wemby which is ridiculous.

But, yeah, Spain will find their ways to win it all with whatever roster they will bring LOL
