Last year there were 3 guys who popped out being 2006 born or younger. Egor Demin (06 from Russia) is surely above his age as well as Demir Dogan (06 from Turkey) and last but not least this Declan Duru (07 for Germany) but Germany is in DIV B so he doesnt count.
Cant say much about the other teams but Turkey has again a strong generation after having a weak one in 05. Beside Dogan Yagiz Aksu (play maker) is really developed for his age and even finds minutes in the Turkish BSL and I am also interested to see how Emin Kara (center) can use his physicality in this tournament.

Yagiz Aksu is not in very good situation. He is not pure PG, he is better as SG/PG. Emin Kara has zero future. Salih Altuntas(Efes, C) offers much more physicality and potential. Old school and very slow but still much more future as Emin Kara. Despite Demir Dogan, Ege Akcay(Dacka, F) is the biggest prospect of this generation, he has huge potential. In this team we will see the biggest turkish G-talent Derin Can Üstün(Bahcesehir, 07) too.

This Bosnian - American kid is now on preparations with our U16 national team. I don't know for sure, but he even may be 2007 born. He maybe isn't that good, maybe he will not even make a team, but with FIBA regulation that player must get citizenship before the age of 16 or otherwise he will be considered naturalized, you have to recruit them young and solve passport issues.

Turkish and Greek U-16 teams had two preparation games. Surprisingly, Greece won both of the games by 84-71 and 65-61. Target player from our '06 generation Demir Doğan scored 10 points in first game and 17 points in second game. I don't see him as an elite prospect opposite the general thought among Turkish basketball community. He can be a difference maker for us, but he is far from being a savior. To be not disappointed, we have to set a new lower ceiling for Doğan.
After the U-15 camp finishes, two players from '07 generation, Derin Can Üstün and Kaan Onat will join this team's preparation camp. Both can boost the general power of U-16 team. We will see.Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. The strong with less intelligence and comprehension can not cope with the less strong but with sufficient intelligence and comprehension. I like the sportsman who is intelligent, agile as well as morally upright.Mustafa Kemal ATATURK

Ok this is your opinion. I suppose this is your overall feeling about Demir Dogan and you don´t judge those games too seriously. For me its pretty clear that Demir Dogan will dominate the tournament for turkish team. Those games are just trash, nothing more. For a team with a G like Yagiz Aksu, star like Demir Dogan and physical C like Salih Altuntas its not a big deal to have success. Since March 2020 Demir Dogan was not in the right place. March 2020 corona, until August 2021 without official games. Then very bad decision and Macedonia and pro ball etc. Yesterday i saw a photo of Demir with Salih Altuntas and Demir is clearly smaller, i think he should be 206-7(without shoes), 2 more inches would be great. Ege Akcay(F) is the second best prospect after Demir in this team but in the second game he didn´t play, i don´t know if he played in the first. For me it would be not a huge surprise if TBF would cut this great potential from team.

He is a very good talent, but if you are one of those people who see him as the hero of Turkish basketball, you will be disappointed. Assigning a huge meaning on him is not a good thing for kid aswell.Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. Its not his shot that worries me. His motor and mental attitude could be a problem. His touch around the rim is also not great but his handle, explosiveness and speed are enough to be a difference maker on the court even if his shot doesnt come around. We are talking about a 16 year old boy. Its too early to talk about his future. His shot by the way doesnt look that bad but I expect him to take over the U16 team like he did last season. Idc if they win something or not.

Lithuania sweeps Slovenia by 30. And they are without Indrusaitis ATM. Should be dynamic team to watch.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Ermm, that result though...That's without two best (probably) players.
Friday Germany comes and later France. It will show if this team will have some opposition. I mean they are totally trashing second raters. The impression is that it should deal with first raters comfortably, but we'll see.

First real test to U16 Lithuania against Germany. Horrible shooting night, but Lithuania took it 94-81. Tomorrow the final against France. I think the game will be broadcasted. Small final between Germany and Slovenia too.
All games uploaded post-factum here (waiting for GER-LTU piece to take a look):

Slovenia is a good example how important is to have one superstar. If not Doncic, Slovenia would be average NT. They are 14th in Youth FIBA Rankings, far from every generation is competitive. Today Serbia trashed Slovenia in U18 opening, not much in U17, U20 either. This U16 generation is mediocre as well generally. But they got Doncic who makes mediocre NT contender instantly.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:
