Let time pass to draw conclusion guys. He is talented. I would have said if not
If he comes to play for the LTU NT great. I cant think of a better forward for now. To have and NBA forward is always great, no matter he is a top 2 player or not.
Too soon for definite conclusions or particular conclusions, but my projection is clear and it will stand solid - he's gonna be very good player.
His +/- is third best in Bulls team and he's a best shot blocker. And yet he's not even showing anything yet basically, hardly scratching the surface. I only don't know yet how consistent he can be with his floaters mid range shots and threes. I think he will be strong finisher inside and will head to FT line a lot with time.

"One thing about me, I'm never going to stop growing," Buzelis said. "I promise you I'm going to figure it out."
What is interesting Matas is the best shot blocker of Bulls. He can be 2-4 blocks per game player in this prime, IMO, which would make him top 3 rim protector in the game and not even from C position.
He's also 6th in offensive rebounds even though he's only 10th in minutes per game. At some point even this season his minutes has to raise.
But he's nothing like Poku. Much more fluid athlete, more agile, smooth, skilled. I just don't see how he would fail. To me he's between starter and all star. Will position him self in this spectrum.
He looks talented. I also expect a solid NBA career but the start was not very promising.
Hell need to bulk up. Not like a body builder but he is way too skinny, still not as skinny as Pokusevski.

I wouldn't say transform. Got forbid some massive bulk. Just get stronger gradually and work on lean muscle which seems to be the case exactly. Compared to last season he's sharper, more polished, more explosive. That should gradually continue. He's fluid and will be very good player. I have no doubts. The worst thing, great defender with streaky shooter, but that steady D and being an athletic slasher with size would still guarantee him long NBA career.

You can see he is truly talented but his body must transform. His style of game hasnt developed fully yet. Its impossible to draw conclusions.
