Certainly a case for the GSWs. He was playing the entire time in a fairly weak conference, makes just 43% of his fga and shoots 34% from three. He cant even take a role for a team in FCL. He is a case for Nevezis for the start and this being 22 year old.

You missed with tons of your projections, but you hate for Marciulionis is special, IDK why it's the case Anyway, some still even see some NBA pedigree in him. I just want him to be good EL play maker. He will be somewhere between Walkup and Calathes in terms of impact.

No, you will be proved wrong. Marciulionis is tough as nails, he doesn't turn the ball over, his slashing game polishing as well as shooting, he always been a great defender and he is one of rare fundamentally sound pass first PGs. It's like a dying breed. His transition to PRO will be smooth. He looked good in reserve NT.

So Jakucionis has offers from top NCAA teams, top EL clubs. I really hope he won't choose NCAA and won't warm the bench for first year and play slow basketball. It's not for him. I agree with Purlys. He loves uptempo and he loves aggression. NCAA would be a cancer for him. IMO, he should stay in ACB and play uptempo basketball at which he is really good. In my opinion for him it would be the best to be loaned. 18yo guy playing in ACB with a good role would be money for him. Or even he could actually play for Lietkabelis already. It's less likely though. I doubt Barca is interested in this decision and wants him to stay in Spanish league (which soon will give him a local player status) and this style of basketball. The most disappointing scenario would warming the benching either in NCAA or Barca's team. He's ready for PRO action.
Next steps ANGT finals and U18, but maybe also appearance in reserve NT. If Maksvytis will unleash that, at least there's a little plus for him. Otherwise what's the point of reserve NT if can't test there the biggest talents of LTU?
I personally not that sure that Kasapras is better built for EL than NBA as his first coach expressed. He is both, ISO and team player. Not like Marciulionis who is primarily team player. So wide court would be beneficial for Jakucionis who has very fun slashing and shooting profile. In EL he would be good too, but I think NBA offensively fits him even better. We'll see.

The MVP was Kasparas Jakucionis, in his second appearance in a qualifier. Had his best game in the final, but was pretty consistent throughout the tournament with the way he made plays for himself and others. A point guard with great size that doesn’t commit many errors and can score inside and out while keeping his teammates involved is not easy to find at this age. And that is why Jakucionis is one of the most intriguing prospects in Europe right now. Playing just below 25 minutes a game, his stat line is even more impressive: 17.0 points per game (66.7% from two and 30.4% from three, plus 100% on almost 7 attempts from the free-throw line per game), 7-5 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals. His rim finishing was elite in Belgrade, due to his great use of decelerations and ability to adjust his body in the air. Jakucionis is such a composed guard, never looking to force and selecting the timings of his penetrations well. The way he plays pick and rolls and finds teammates rolling or waiting on the perimeter for their opportunity can’t be overlooked as well and, although he didn’t shoot the ball as well as in other occasions, he didn’t hesitate. He took the shots he had to and those are great signs. His defense flew a bit under the radar, but he was as aggressive and difficult to leave behind as always. His reach outs in particular were great.
FC Barcelona The Spanish dominance continues at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament. After Real Madrid took the first qualifier, it was Barcelona’s turn to come away victorious in Belgrade. Barcelona controlled the action right from the first game and took command of the final early, leaving Milan behind. The MVP was Kasparas Jakucionis, in his...LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Marciulionis takes down Gonzaga and Gaels wins WCC Tournament first since 2019. The player of the year award is totally deserved. Dude delivered both in semis and final (13pts, 8 assists). This individual award is first meaningful award since he won everything in NKL being 17yo (best young player, best PG etc.). So far his best individual recognition and not the last. He also won WCC tournament's outstanding player award. Dude's has a low dribble, tons of moves bag, he provided elite body control finishing around the basket and he has that fundamentally sound facilitation game + elite bulldog defense. He's tough and athletic. This is combination that you would be looking for years, specially if he also shoots consistently and he made huge strides towards that this year. Some guys can't defend (Jokubaitis, Topic and even Nunez to certain extent), some guys can't shoot (Giddey), Marciulionis might pack everything at the end of the day.

Marciulionis among top 50 March Madness players. Gaels has third best rating in NCAA and Marciulionis is the main reason as by far the best defender. I wonder if he could win DPOY of NCCA.
49. Augustas Marčiulionis, G, St. Mary’s
Son of Šarūnas, Augustas was named the WCC Player of the Year in the Gaels run to the conference championship, only the second time in the last 11 years that a team not named Gonzaga claimed the title. His defensive chops are well known, but he’s developed into a fantastic and versatile scorer over the season. If the Gaels are to make it into the second weekend for the first time in nearly 15 years, Augustas will be the main reason why. — AW
