Thats why he is loosing all finals in end of the season in all leagues...players are simply tired of his fake nonsenses by that point

I think Trinchieri last finals in end of the season won in 2016 or 2017...

Next season 60-70% of players is changed if he stays as coach because players dont wanna no part with his arrogance after having that experience for 9months

    • ulanovas, birutis, butkevicius, lekavicius are horrible and are bringing zalgiris down with them. giedraitis and sometimes sirvydis with brazdeikis are the only good lithuanian players on the team

giedraitis with 19 points and the game is not even finished, sure its mostly just because he's on a heater and is making every shot but as a player he reminds me a lot of kevin pangos. from the way he's developing to the way they both play and move on the court, even their shooting forms and drives to the basket are quite similar.
pangos was also lost on the court, struggled to shoot the ball even if he came to zalgiris with reputation of a sniper, had no confidence but after a year he turned into zalgiris best player. im not saying giedraitis will ever be the player peak pangos was but to me the situation is quite similar.

          • What a game. This season is special. Special because many players are roaring with potential and ready for real deal ball games. Nice to see Giedraitis finally catching up his aggressiveness. He's a bit like Sedekerskis, often playing less aggressive than he could, but this season he's catching up. Just like Sedekerskis recently caught his real level, Giedraitis is slowly remembering his smooth self. I will remember Kazys words "I choose Dimsa" this summer for a long time, this is all our Olympic cycle in a nutshell. Fizrukas screwed entire Olympic cycle. Second best player in Zalgiris with 13ppg and 14,5eff and he's by far the best defender in the team.

One of the biggest surprises - Sirvydis is not nearly as bad defensively as it seemed he might be before the season. Dude hustles, dude's as active as he can and it's not that bad, he holds his ground more often than I thought. That's great news for him cause offensively he just adjusting now and will be way better in the future. He has to adjust to EL physicality and intensity, but he's roaring with offensive potential.

Iggy is disappointing, his D never improved, his attitude didn't change much, he's not hustling and his low IQ always punish him. I really way more higher on Sirvydis than Iggy already.

I believe 2000 studs will have an amazing season - Jokubaitis will show his worth eventually and Dovis and Sirvis balling. These guys will be important in 2025 EB.

            Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
            Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
            Buzelis, Lelevicius
            Murauskas, Sirvydis
            Tubelis, Krivas

            • zalgiris sign loonie walker, this has to be the biggest name they have signed in the past decade. couple years back this guy was killing the warriors in the playoffs, extremely talented player, im shocked at how zalgiris is the team that managed to sign him

Yes, indeed. He was rumored to Real. And now he comes to Zalgiris. Of course, it's a question of how he adjusts to Europe, but anyway it shows what kind a of organization Zalgiris has become.

                • trinchieri reminds me of saras when he makes, in my opinion, questionable decisions but they actually work and they win games, some coaches just have a much deeper feel for the game. playing the entire 4th quarter with ulanovas, mitchell, butkevicius and francisco as the only ball hanlder i thought will lose zalgiris the game and they came out with a win. he decided sirvydis needs to be agressive in the first half and it worked, he had 14 at half.

                  • WOW, Trinch lost the game in Germany by throwing not ready Walker in the game again and again.

He's too eager to establish EL capable winning kinda team in his head I assume And yet Walker's struggle now could be beneficial for Zalgiris, meaning he's staying all season and delivers at the right time.

                      • So, Giedraitis overperformed at the start of the season and now Trinch thinks that Dovydas is a good EL pg? And he totally forgot Lekavicius on the bench, who could knail some threes when almost nobody could. I don't like Italian's bb eyes here.

even if giedraitis is not making shots he's still a top 3 perimeter defender in europe, so having him on the court is always beneficial

                          • Sirvydis' defense. It's no surprise that his minutes in EL have been very limited lately.

                            • Gotta admit Zalgiris is heck of a fun ATM. The closing line-up with Giedraitis, Sievydis, Walker was fun. Each guy can initiate aggression in their own unique ways. Walker delivered in last 2 games, now let's see if can stay consistent. He goes wildly ISO, it's good when it drops, but he doesn't feel much of a team flow when he's empty. So he better be consistent. Fransico overdo a bit, IMO, but still come up with some big plays.

Sirvydis won competition battle with Iggy it seems. Obviously to me he's a better player already. Much smoother, plays with his head much more. He's a better shooter and his nifty slashing is underrated.

It seems that 2000s guys might as well just start if Grigonis and Buzelis won't come. 1 Jokubaitis, 2 D. Giedraitis, 3. Sirvydis. That is if Kurtinaitis doesn't have Paliukenas, Normantas, Radzevicius as his starting lineup lol...

                              • I don't think that Zalgiris ever had such an individually strong player as Walker. His first dunk was crazy. He scored 24 pts in 24 min, he could easily play more. He's NBA player and him signing with Zalgiris doesn't make sense. Cudos for Zalgiris management and circumstances that allowed to make it happen. If I were Zalgiris fan, I would love to see him here until the end of the season so badly.
