LOL, Venezuela...Zalgiris nearly took the second game...And Barca at the moment is very likely the favorite of final 4.

Indeed Smits disappointed, but I still would like him to stay, no doubt. Brazdeikis' second half of the season was very positive. Really hope he stays and will have a strong season. Polanara showed some good things, but I hope both he and Cavanaugh are gonners. Hayes is also under question cause he gives too little offensively. I would say buy buy to Taylor. Too injury prone and wild player.

A lot will depend how Evans will look and how much more consistent Brazdeikis will be. D. Giedraitis should become strong rotation player if healthy.

I hope Sirvydis will replace Lukosiunas as a spot up shooter. Hope Zalgiris won't bring Milas back. Grandpas work very bad for Zalgiris. I hope more physical foreigner instead of Cavanaugh/Polanara, who could shoot some. Hard to find this, but Zalgiris should look for such. I hope Rubstavicius will stay in Lietkabelis, but he might be in the mix for the sake of depth. I'm more or less ok with Hayes, but Zalgiris might find even something better, specially knowing that his role decreased at the end of the season.

You better stop being pathetic. You speak for decades how playoffs is different animal and how real players show up then and now then this theory works against you Jokubaitis is just a playoffs fluke cause he ain't dominated in regular season or Zalgiris is trash, or 15k crazy fans is just comfortable environment for 22yo. Go be lame with your excuses on some-one elses time. You have no dignity to even admit being wrong, which is not even funny, but sad. Jokubaitis fair and square the best Barca's guard in playoffs thus far. Live with that.

4/8 from three, 50%, is also very promising. Hope to see him shooting better in WC than in EB too.

lekavicius is terrible, yesterday's game shows that he does not fit in maksvytis system at all and with evans potentially missing some games they would be left with only lekavicius and no true point guard again. i just hope polonara, cavanaugh, lekavicius, lukosiunas are not on zalgiris to start the next season and instead they try to find younger, more perspective players,who actually make sense fit wise like sirvydis or kulboka, maksvytis in the press conference after the game did say they need more shooting

Maksvytis and Kulboka shouldn't be in the same sentence. Besides, I think he would be disappointment. He can't guard. It's a good chance he would be even worse than Cavanough, Polanara. Sirvydis on other hand would be much more interesting. He's more versatile and with very good size at 3 and even 2 at times.

zalgiris is already making moves for next season and it seems like they will manage to keep their main players for the first time in a very long time. all eyes are now brazdeikis and his decision

Gotta love Ulanovas. No NT, no LKL award ceremony. Prima donna...

Anyway, it seems that Taylor, Polanara, Lukosiunas out. All logical decisions. I treat Lukosiunas years in Zalgiris (strong one) as the biggest misunderstand in Lithuanian club basketball ever. And nothing is even close.

No decisoon yet on Cavanaugh.

If Brazdeikis stays and I think he will, there will be little to none changes. A bit boring, but will be interesting to track Brazdeikis' and Giedraitis' development.

Healthy Taylor is a beast. His first step was too much even for EL teams. How you don't keep a guy who won a title in the crucial game? Besides, you don't know how Evans will look like after a serious injury. If i were a Zalgiris fan i would be pissed i think. You can keep a difference maker who was so great in finals and you don't do it.

But it's completely logical. Evans has a contract and for Taylor to reach pre-injury level of Evans is like reaching the sky. Taylor makes all sort of defensive mistakes, makes all sort of mental mistakes including offense too. He is not a good facilitator despite being in great shape in the final. You look at last 2 games vs Rytas and you have 1 assist in 50 minutes. He barely can shoot. He shot 1 three per game in EL. That's hesitant shooting. Would I take him instead of Lekavicius? Off course, but Lelkavicius has contract and there's no fundamental difference between the two. Both are instant offense from the bench, energy guys. Evans is more fundamentally sound PG, better decision maker, better shooter, a bit better passer. Taylor is very likely too expensive to be that back-up for Zalgiris.And he hasn't been healthy. Lekavicius is in perfect situation. Now he will skip NT and will look even better than this season.

Zalgiris needs some-one who can shoot and create at 1-2. And that's definitely not Taylor.

It wasn't misunderstand. It was logical to replace a good Zalgiris player Milaknis by the same young profile player - it simply didn't work out.

It's completely wrong. Taylor is simply a better player. He has an elite first step. Lekavicius doesn't have anything like that. Taylor saved Zalgiris' ass in LKL final game. Let's be honest - Zalgiris hasn't chosen Lekavicius over Taylor. He simply has a contract.

And don't forget guys. We don't know how Evans will look like after a serious injury.
