  • Seems that Azuolas is staying in the draft. Wish him luck. Hope it's Sabonis' Kings or Spurs (Songaila's guidance).
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

    Tubelis, Krivas

    • It's pretty crazy that I keep hearing from Americans that Tubelis is SF/PF in NBA That's a little bit out of hand. He's definitely PF/C. This scout says that Tubelis has to go at least 35% from downdown to earn the spot in NBA, taking sort of Aldama kinda role.

      • After Lelevicius, Tubelis showed his things for Indiana Pacers. Pacers will have 5 picks.

Tubelis has pretty fun bounce for European. Hope to see him with reserve NT.

        • This is a good sum up of Azuolas NCAA campaign. Whatever happens with NBA it's time to say that it was a heck of ride. Probably the most dominant season ever of all Lithuanians in NCAA and we had great ones as Karnisovas, Jasikevicius, Kleiza, Sabonis:

          • "Tubelis is a nice modern big man with a traditional skill set"

For the first time I hear such description, but it somehow makes sense for Tubelis. Specially for Tubelis. Very agile and mobile for a big, but at the same kinda plays in traditional ways offensively (post game, pick and roll, sealing).

Very generous scouting report. Here's most fun paragraph:

"Finesse player more than interior bruiser … may need to improve physicality for the NBA… Elite at finishing close to the hoop and out to floater range … takes relatively few shots with traditional shooting form (as opposed to these little baby hooks and floaters) … only averaged about 2 assists per game in college, but especially in international play, the Lithuanian has shown ability to be a playmaker … overall feel for the game stands out… Defensively has shown flashes at being an athletic shotblocker type … instincts are strong, but may struggle against some bigger, stronger forwards in the NBA until he adds weight … Tubelis compares to fellow countryman Domantas Sabonis and fellow Euro ball player Isaiah Hartenstein (worth noting, all 3 players are lefties)! Tubelis is not as strong as Sabonis, and is not as tall as Hartenstein (3 inch delta). But Tubelis is more agile, with possibly even better touch … Tubelis is a hair undersized for the NBA. His 6’11” listed height may be slightly generous … overall, I would not be surprised to see Tubelis find his niche and have a successful NBA career — especially if he can develop a reliable outside shot (where his mechanics are currently fairly pure) and gain strength to hold his ground defensively. 7th / 8th guy (or better) on an NBA roster for 8+ years is within reach. Tubelis is a nice modern big man with a traditional skill set. His fluidity and excellent hands truly stand out … Playing in the Pac 12, legendary big man Bill Walton (now a Pac-12 announcer) gets to see him plenty and is very complimentary of his big man feel and skill set …"

Tubelis is probably Lithuania's best chance to play adequate defence from 5 position.

            • OMG, where is NBA going? Tubelis not drafted. Literally 6-8 years ago he would be be 20-40 picks. Anyway, he got 2 ways contract with Sixers. Not a fan of him wasting his time in G League, hope he's getting some real chances to play in NBA already next season. Too good and too ready to be Kulboka or such.

Well, Petrusev is also heading to the Sixers with a successful EL season in his bag. I wouldnt expect him to play in the NBA next season.

I meant some stretches, games when he gets some playing time in NBA. Some 20 games (getting 5-15mpg) in NBA and G League season would make sense to me.

                        • I think overall very decent showing for Tubelis in 13min in the Summer League. 4 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 points. He made terrific entry pass offensively, sort of a highlight. He dunked in transition. Rebounding rate solid. Gotta hate being a big in Summer League though One shot per 13 minutes. Ball handlers simply goes ISO, no-one really cares to facilitate. Tubelis even seen some playing time together with Petrusev. I'm pretty sure both of these guys disgust with this BB. Tubelis has been playing with A. Marciulionis in Lithuania and with Kerr Kriisa in NCAA. Two premier facilitating prospects. Gotta be real shocker now to play with guys who barely can pass and go ISO all the time.

                            • Well, Tubelis wasn't unleashed in this Summer League and didn't do excellent job either with his minutes. Gotta make FTs. It's good he knocked down a three. I think one season in G League will be beneficial. From there he can see if he might get something going with NBA or to come back to Europe.

Interesting if he's coming to reserve NT.

When you see how little chances at first some prospects receive, you have to give credit to Sirvydis averaging 15,5ppg, 5.3rbs in the Summer League last year. Sirvydis was 22yo though, while Tubelis is 21yo and didn't get a proper chance.
