Granted a diet rich in legumes (beans, lentils, corn, peas, etc.) and nuts (including peanut butter) is a good one. And lacto-vegetarianism makes some sense. But going from lacto-vegetarianism to veganism is a move to unhealthy fanaticism.

Incidentally, how is Ąžuolas' twin brother Tautvilas doing? Does he even dress for Wildcat games?

    • It just doesn't have to be only about basketball, this forum.
As long as conversation stays organic I am sure we can be fluid towards range of topics we discuss.
And yes , how about Tautvilas?
Just getting scholarship riding on his twin shoulders seems like a big shout to Ąžuolas talent..
      P.s
So what about twins historically in Lithuanian basketball ? Did we ever have any ?
      Any other sports ?
I know Morris twins, that's about it
And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Zalgiris 17 times in a row.

What about him? He's there to support Azualas and to get an education. I think at both things he's doing just fine.

        • How bad he is ? Or maybe he can get better and go professional ? I know nothing about him, but I assume he must have something other than being a twin to Azuolas

Nah, nothing. He can't play. I would be super surprised if he would go PROs ever. He's just to support introverted Azualas to feel better in USA. He's there by Azualas asking, that's all. Arisona has zero interest in him as a player.

I know very little about NCAA , but i have read that Arizona removed themselves from play offs voluntarily this year for the reason of irregularities due to illegal payments ?
And now what ? Just a little something to get Azuolas to play for them to the amount of what ? 100 K ? I assume its full scholarship for both of them , with an average debt of student loan in USA being 60k ? Plus living expense .Hunky-dory , i guess.

Yes, they are twins And here's the story how Azualas took his brother together. He simply asked Arisona for it

"I asked them if the team twould ake my brother too, would they give him scholarship". Answer was YES. Then I said: "OK, then there's no problem". LOL.

                    • Would anyone be surprised that freshman plays very limited minutes on team like WC if he wasn't someone's brother?

Very recently in fact. Kšyštof and Darjuš Lavrinovičius! (It's difficult to ascertain that there are two of them I know.) And they're both still playing for Vytis at the age of 41.

                        • Tautvilas Tubelis isn't a talent, bad not a bad player either. He got schoolarship in NCAA because of his brother (luck is important in life), but he played in Lith. youth u16 team few years ago not because of Azuolas and he even scored more pts in one game than his brother.

There are also not bad brothers twins from Panevezys in Zalgiris system. One of them played in u16 NT in 2019. Didn't perform there a lot, but still.

Also there are brothers twins from Silute and one of them played in EL youth and u18 NT in 2019 and he had quite solid stats.

A bad thing is that he plays only in amateur league now.

                            • I now Tubelis exceeds everyone with his freshman season numbers. Sabonis, Kleiza, Songaila, Karnisovas, everyone. That doesn't mean he'll necessary be better than some of my mentioned players, but he's surely the best Lithuanian freshman ever. That's huge. 12.2pts, 6.8rbs, 1.3as.

                              • Love that he added mid range and 3pt shot to his game. I agree with you though that he shouldn't be adding more weight, he already looks big enough.

I guess Marciulionis has not doubts now, when his friend is having such a success in NCAA.
