sport. centralnyj sportivnyj klub armiy (Central Sport Club of the Army)
Ahh,thanks. It makes much more sense for me now .
Off topic, but i have read somewhere that in old times (soviet ) all government departments (local and central) had to have some specialists whose sole purpose was to know acronyms and advice fellow workers accordingly. That was because they wanted to cut on bureaucracy and save some money on paper and telegraph etc . New order of things. Eventually it got so bad ,because everything , and i mean literately all orders was sent in acronyms . Eventuality , i think they stopped. LOL
And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Zalgiris 17 times in a row.
I did not know that we had 4 players in OG apart from 1988 .
And damn , Paulauskas is loaded with titles ,isn't he ? In his heyday he must have been godlike figure in Kaunas .But that was before my time.
Once more ,great post ,LuDux .
BTW ,your nick , what does it stand for?

Right after war teams had 14 men rosters, so it's more like 3.5 lithuanians
Also Paulauskas was top scorer or most of those teams
Liudas > Liuduks> Ludux > LuDux, because I'm regal like that
As far as i understand , this is just a part transcribed for newspaper article from his TV interview .Or maybe i just missed the thing i am about to say . Anyways , he says that he doesn't understand people who do not pay they dues for the system they were part of and should be thankful for . He said something alongside lines ,that refusal to play for NT team is inexcusable because you just bought a house a in USA and you had to move some furniture because your wife insisted .
I think he meant Ilgauskas ,who i defended for so long . But come to think about it ,maybe i was just wrong about him . Maybe he just never wanted to play for NT team . Which is fine for me .And made those excuse every summer that he wasn't injured . He should have come clean, I think .

Ha, no matter how many players they had on the team at the time ,number is still 4 .
But kudos to you once more - another fact i have learned today . So when 14 become 12 ?
I get the part where das becomes Dux. What about Lu ?
And now i become intrigued . What is it that you do in life ? And what did you study ,if you don't mind me asking ?

Liu > Lew > Lu
Nothing, just waisting riches inherited from my predecestors who were duces as well (Dux (/dʌks, dʊks/; plural: duces) is Latin for "leader" (from the noun dux, ducis, "leader, general") and later for duke and its variant forms (doge, duce, etc.))

Remarkable story . And that part when he says that he would rather stay with Zalgiris instead of going to CSKA while being a captain of soviet national team ? Jesus .

He meant Timinskas. His "moving furniture" excuse/story became legendary in LT

Aha . Shit, I did not know that as in never heard this story before . I am really glad that i am finding new things out for myself on this forum . What year/tournament are we talking about ?
And more pressing issue - do i have to reconsider Ilgauskas again ? Are you sure it was not him ?

OK, let me just clarify something .
I know it would be easier to communicate in Lithuanian regarding certain terms ,but...since it is English spoken forum .
It would make much more sense to me in this case .
And weren't they suppose to be piss poor ? And even if they had anything left ,didn't Soviets take it away ?
Unless to reclaimed it back .

It was probably 2003, cant say for sure, but it must have been 2003, Ilgauskas, no, he had serious excuses
