However, fully or nearly fully packed Lithuania is a favorite.
Gallinari in or out is not a big deal since he's almost an ex-player... totally lost his mobility. Can help on offense for 10-15 minutes but he's no more a game-changer...

We need Fontecchio in the lineup, of course. Spagnolo will be out for injury as well as Procida while Mannion and Pajola should be in and will be very important.

Also Polonara is showing to be back with more consistent games and will be important off the bench.

It's better Eubanks than NOTHING... don't u agree?

But the latest good news is: Darius Thompson finally got the italian passport so maybe could play for our NT (even in a position covered by Spissu, Mannion and Pajola)... can provide some difense and athleticism to our backcourt.

You underestimating your team. Italy chances beating Lithuania in 2024 is bigger than Italy chances were to beat Serbia in 2021 thats for sure.

Italy have better shooting team and that skill alone is seriuos factor in 2020s one game scenerio

For LTU NT news Valanciunas come back home and said in interview that his chances playing in qualification is * interesting *....and that it doesnt depend from his wishes.

He added he wants play but he is free agent and nba free agency starts from July 1st at that time semifinal/final games in qualiifcation will be played. Insurance for nba player without contract is very problematic according to him.

So right now looks Lithuania wont have Valanciunas for qualification tournament

You're overestimating our 3p%... it's very unlikely we shoot well if other team can play difense (see our last tournaments).

So we have the same "problem" since also Fontecchio is free-agent... and Lithuania plays better with Sabonis as center in Euro (and Valanciunas just backup).

So Simone Fontecchio is officially OUT because of a small surgery (i think he decided with Detroit not to play)... bad news for us.

It may be very well that at the end... The only doubt could be Diouf who is back from a serious injury and the Poz idea of having another perimeter player (Bortolani?) instead of a big man... we'll see.

Tessitori out again... we can't say coach Pozzecco is his best fan!

So we only could have just a pure center (Diouf, also recovering from injury) with Caruso without PT in Milan... so in the end we'll see much minutes from Melli @ 5 spot with Gallinari and Polonara as PFs. Not a great idea against a physical team like Lithuania...

                          The 2nd one...

In Italy sport media just talks about football, tennis (especially now with Sinner Number 1), athletics, etc... basketball is not among the top of the chart.

Not a single true big man (apart Melli)... we'll suffer a lot under the basket as usual.

Great win today against a very tough team like Spain in Madrid with a typical home referees(Melli ejected for a inexistent flopping). Great game game by Gallo, spissu, Tonut and Pajola

I think we have some chances in Puerto Rico if we'll show this game's defence

                                Did Gallo play at 5?
