For this year thats the best maccabi could get at parkers position...and maccabi fans shouldnt listen to anyone else but the court...there they will see if this player is good or bad...(just like the court showed everyone Salomon was a bad very poor PG-passer-leader)

Actually, what I am no fan of Vainauskas at all, but what he said was: "At first I thought Simas would be a substitute in Maccabi, but then it seems that the apsirations of Tel-Aviv were much greater. I do not think he is already prepared for this"
"Simas had the right to break the contract and to the leave to the best team and the best coach. But if Maccabi expects that Jasaitis will be a star and change Parker, they will be disappointed. His role in our team was a limited one, besides, he felt no big pressure from the outside"
"On one hand, Jasaitis is a special player who can defend well. On the other hand, Simas is unstable shooter, he lacks variety in attack. At his best, he could be ONE OF the important players, as it was in our team. But he did not play the most important part in the game.
It is no way he has the potential to become something like Sarunas Jasikevicius, Arvydas Macijauskas, Saulius Stombergas or Arturas Karnisovas. He does not belong to this creme de la creme category".
Actually, I do agree with Vainauskas on this point. But the best luck to Simas and Tel-Aviv, anyway.
