    I sure hope so.

I'm waiting to see their next signings.

Since Hapoels Holon and Jeru are going down, hopefully the Heat will add some excitement to the L.

    We shall see.

The team decided to renounce their participation in the EuroCup and all other European competitions for the following season.
By doing so I think we can close the door on Haifa ever being a serious, or any other kind of competition up against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

In short-plain out stupidity. Frankly I'm too embarrassed to say, these kind of things gives us bad name in Europe in the recent years since the Jerusalem- Euroleague thing, only strengthening the "Nothing but Maccabi" perception of Israeli bball. In detail, the reasons given were "fear to embarrass Israeli bball" (sure, because quitting like a chicken is always the right thing to do), "need to concentrate on the local scene" (no matter that the team finished 2nd on both club tournaments) and a bunch of other excused of a 5 year old. "Lack of preparation time" etc. You asked about money, and Haifa is the last club in the country other then maccabi with these kind of problems. Relatively wealthy owner, strong fan base and suitable arena fit for the EuroCup competition (the second largest sports arena is Israel, actually). Personally after this I hope they get relegated, bankrupt or any other catastrophe of that sort so they and all other clubs will learn this lesson once and for all.
              Shame on them.

                Yeah, that is pathetic.

Looks like it will be Maccabi Tel-Israel again....

                  +1!!

If they'll lose Teylor, it will be good punishment.
                  2022/2023:
                  PG: Brown, D-BA, Ziv
                  SG: Baldwin, Hollins
                  SF: Hillard, Pnini, Menco
                  PF: Martin, Colson, Cohen
                  PF: Nebo, Poyters, Sorkin

Yeah, what is going on with Jeremy Tyler? Would he still want to come to Maccabi with them not playing in Europe?

Also, who are the signed players for next year - if anyone knows?

If the Tyler deal looked far fetched to me when the rumors started flying and the team looked as a shoe in for the EuroCup, now it looks more like science fiction. Nothing on the move since the EuroCup announcement.
                      As for the Roster:
-Devon Jefferson had a one season contract with ridiculous salary of about 80k$, and will probably continue his career elsewhere if his contract will not improve drastically. It was reported some time ago that he demanded 400K and the usual NBA opt, the team is willing to pay half of that amount with the NBA opt.
-Doron Perkins also had a one season contract, with a salary estimated at 175-200K. Chances are he will also leave the team.

Captain and leading Israeli player Kozhikaro had a one season contract. He said in a recent interview that the team wishes him to stay, so why didn't they signed him? Ridiculous.
-Amit ben David, Moshe Mizrahi and Gur Porat all also had a one season contract. Same story.
In short, I think the only players with a valid contract for next season are Todd Golden and Ben Strong...

Not only that it is not about contracting anyone, it has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote. In short-bullshit...
Head coach Avi Ashkenazi extended his contract by one more year, BTW.
