  • Jai Lewis (Maccabi Ramat-Gan) to Strasbourg (France) ?

Hello, I am from Strasbourg in France. Someone says that Jai Lewis is rumoured to go to the SIG. Have you heard of this in Israel ? Could you describe this player ? Is he good ? Does he have a good mentality ? How about his defense ? his shooting ? his offense ?

    Thanks.

Sorry, haven't seen Ramat-Gan much last season... Sport channel wasn't much interested I guess, and me probably too.
But you can see his stats at safsal site (in English):
    Yalla Maccabi!!!

    Save English, ban macabeo....

A George Mason Standout...He was a teammate of GABE NORWOOD of Philippines...They were the Cinderella 2 yrs ago in the NCAA DIVISION 1...
they beat the powerhouse UCONN and advance to the final four till they lost to the champions FLORIDA....He's an undersized center...He stands 6'7...

Jai Lewis enters his fourth year with the Patriots and is a returning starter in the frontcourt... Wide-body player who is strong in the paint... Also can move to the perimeter and handle the ball on the wing... Tough, aggressive post player with great hands and a good shooting touch around the basket... Solid rebounder... Effective shooter facing the basket and posts up well... Majoring in sport management.

he's a bit undersized (height-wise) to play under the rim but he compensate it by his big body (weight-wise) so he can guard and post up taller players. rather quick for his size and somewhat of an energtic player. doesn't like to pass though.
never had a talk with him but he seems like a character - the kind of player who has great appeal while playing so it's always interesting to watch him play.
