- Jordi Bertomeu, CEO of Euroleague, came to Israel for negotiate with Hapoel Jerusalem who want joining to the Euroleague, starting from the next season.

- According the reports, Lior Eliyahu, PF of Israeli National Team and former of Maccabi Tel Aviv, is close to join Hapoel Jerusalem. Eliyahu will earn 1M$ per season at Jerusalem.

- Jerusalem won't join the Euroleague next season. Bertomeu also said that they never talked about next year, and he wants to see consistency before Jerusalem will be considered for Euroleague.

-Eliyahu will not sign a multi-year deal with Hapoel, because he knows that it will close the door for him and Maccabi to the rest of his career.

I think that any contract that Eliyahu will sign - will be only to the remainder of the season (because he wants to come back to Maccabi next year IF Blatt will leave)

If Eliyahu really wanted to go to Jerusalem , he would do it already because their offer is the same like a month ago

Regardless, he needs to go to Jerusalem in order to revive his career, but I hope that he understood that he made a huge mistake by turned us down in the first place (although I was happy as a fan). His agent said that many European clubs want him, at the end he stayed with nothing. The guy does not worth more then $400K max.

Well i guess i was wrong.

Eliyahu is signing the contract with jerusalem.

He will be able to leave to europe at the end of each season.

Lior Eliyahu has met today with Hapoel Jerusalem heads. He planned to sign tonight. If Lior Eliyahu will sign at Jerusalem, he will earn 300K$ per the first season and 500K$ for the next 2 seasons.

All the other are questionable, depende where Jerusalem will play in Europe. (Fiba or EuroCup)
