the fact is having a very bad season in il league is due to stronger il teams comparing with past or what else? (i dont follow il league)
    IMO, main reasons are:

    1. The Israeli League rule that force Blatt to play 2 Israeli guys at any time, and Maccabi don't have good Israelis players at the moment (Pnini is bad until a week ago, Ohayon and Tyus mediocre, Landsberg don't have confidence...)

    2. Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Haifa are very good teams this year.

    3. Most Israeli teams don't have classic Center and plays small-ball, and Maccabi roster was built to Euroleague competition against real C's so there are a lot of match-up problems

    4. Maccabi roster this year is so mediocre so thats the biggest problem!

    • ^^ you forgot to mention ironi Nes Ziona and Hapoel Eilat, they are very good teams as well. I have a feeling that either Hapoel Eilat or Nes Ziona will win the championship this season.

well i'm sure if blatt would play with landesberg and naimi as israeli would be better anyway thanks for your clear picture of il league actually. anyway is there any new or rumore about mta's add before top16?

        • wich coach in world ,having rice-ohayon as playmaker, wouldnt give a chance to naimi?
wich coach in world wouldnt give chance to show is talent to landesberg?
wich coach in world would ask for sofo as c in a el team?
why never try coehn whoplayed very good games in summer?
no way he has his own dramatic view and even if mta surely isnt a top club in el, he make us worse than we are
fortunatly this is last year with blatt in yellow.

Naimi and Maccabi agreed terms of his release today.

He is now a free agent.

his destiny was written since dthe beginning. blatt doesnt like those players. no way. he was fired even before coming and as usual in thiose cases, blatt never let them any chances. a very good player ,much much better than blatt' s icon ohayon.
a team who has ohayon-rice and doesnt give naimi one chance ,it could be surely a blatt's team
the day blatt will be far from tel aviv, it will be a nice day for us

James condition is still unknown - mostly because it's back problems which are very tricky.

he is not 100% for top 16.

there were some rumors about Maccabi trying to add another C, but it wasn't serious.

Management tried to make themselves look good in the eyes of the fans, so they started rumours that Maccabi wants Ajince (and it was so obvious that they don't have the money+ that Ajince is looking to go back to the NBA).

Same with Hacket - 2 days ago, after it was clear that Hacket will sign with Milano' Management suddenly started a rumour that they want Hacket...(IMO, just because they knew he will sign with Milano- so they could tell the fans :"look' we tried to add good players but they signed in other teams").

                  Pathetic move from management.

                  another note:

Blatt wants to keep J. Cohen and said that yesterday to the media, but front office wants to loan him even after James injury.

Actually, the hard core of MTA fans HATE management, if you go to MTA fans forum you can see that (to shame it's in hebrew...) - most of them wants the Management to go home if they not intend to invest money and to increase budget.

the problem is that about 7000 fans in Nokia arena are not the "real" fans IMO-

they more like the american NBA fans, that go to a game to watch a show, and not to be active during the game. those fans don't really matter what going on behind the scenes, and it's easy to manipulate them with those kind of "inside info" like Hacket+Ajince interest.

thanks. u were so clear. anyway the hottest part of the fans are guilty too. the ones who goes to the airpoirt to welcome sofo or tyus are surely hot fans ,but they accept all managmnet moviment. players like sofo or tyus arent players who a big team's fans should welcome. they had to be desperate for players like that.
fans should make pressure on managment. how?
well here i'm lazio fan, the soccer team. well , we are all desperate of our mediocre owner and plans. i'm not an hot lazio fan,but almost everybody decided to stay at home while lazio play.so the stadium is emplt every week.soon or late, this owner will leave surely lazio or will change his policy spending money.the problem in tel aviv is that nokia is always full in euroleague. only message and action fans should do, is stopping go to nokia. if managment will see an empty nokia weekly they must change policy or sell the club.so i think fans are guilty as the mangament

                              I agree 100%!

Thats the reason why i didn't re-new my season ticket this year, after 15 years.

The hardcore of the fans, the active fans on games - can't complain that the management running the business only to make money , and then to buy the season ticket and to cheer during the games.

it's ridiculous! thats exactly what the management wants us to do! those fans don't see the big picture. and they let their so called "Maccabi pride" emotions take over.

And if they decide to go to the games- they can put up a show with big signs against the management, to shout against them, to go protest on practice.

I think that the "Maccabi pride" is to NOT accept the management tactics and to let them feel in their pockets the damage they are doing to our powerhouse club

and MAINLY wich is the media's opinion about managment? i mean step by step , day by day starting just talking and even through some forum and with some media, maybe there u can open eyes to everybody
