    End of an era..Derrick Sharp retired and became Maccabi's second assistant coach

    He signed with Maccabi in 1996

                      I don't believe he retired.. It always seemed near impossible
                      The memories will stay in our mind forever, especially the Zalgiris miracle.
                      I really hope Maccabi would retire a number for the first time, no one can do what he did, no one can be what he was for us fans, if he won't wear jersey number 6 again, no one should.

                            Let's not be over-dramatic, Sharp retired de-facto a couple of years ago ( 5 min per game in Israeli league is a retirement)

                            Glad the management found a job within the system for him . Funny thing : both "Zalgiris miracle" creators Gur Shelef & Derrick Sharp are still with Maccabi.
