    • Maccabi needs 14-15 players, not 12 players. It is not enough.

Maybe Omri Casspi will come back and join Maccabi again for the next season.

The way I see it, it is only possible in case of a lock-out. And judging from the players that are going to come to Europe in case of a lock-out Omri won't be a serious factor.

Actually I'm a fan of the Spurs, but I don't know if they'll get him, at least not as a main-player cuz they already got Splitter and Blair as future leaders of the team on his spot, he could fit the team quite good as a role player I guess as he is a big man that can also shoot threes quite good and got a good hand from mid-range.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I do think he's better suited for the european game. The closest comparison leans towards Luis Scola, yet i believe Macvan has a long way to go before earning a right to be put on par with him.
I doubt he gets drafted. If he does, Spurs at 60th pick would be my bet.

Speaking of Spurs, Blair is by all accounts a rotational player in the Spurs future. Revitalizing a subpar twin towers in Splitter/Richards going forward might be in Popovich's plans.

            • I want to know what you people think are the chances that these players will be with Maccabi next year.

              Chuck Eidson
              David Blu
              Jeremy Pargo
              Doron Perkins

I really hope that all of them return the one I want to see return the most is Jeremy Pargo what do you think?

I hope Blu, Pargo and Perkins will stay with Maccabi for the next season.
Eidson has to go, we need a new player to replace Eidson.

                • What is going to happen with Derrick Sharp for the next season? Is he going to stay there again?

I think he should become like 3rd assistant coach. So then later in the future, he can be a great coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

                  • what are the chances of Yotam Halperin coming back to Maccabi next season? I really liked him when he was with Maccabi.

And Maccabi really needs a real center to play when Sofo rests. Hendriks is great but would much rather see him at the PF spot.

If they don't sign Pargo and I really hope they do, they should get a player like him, someone who is a scorer but doesn't have the ego that alan anderson had, a player that can pass the ball, a real team player.

if pargo will stay we d need a classic playmaker, a center, 1 shooter
if pargo will not, we'd need 2 pg, one c, one shooter

                      this with eidson
without himm (and i hope he will be released), we d need another player
imho i'll not confirm hendrix too

Actually there is quite a big chance we'll see Amare Stoudemire yellow next season in case there's a lock-out and big stars move to Europe.

                          • Is it possible for Maccabi to get D'Or Fischer back to replace Eidson for the next season?
D'Or is one of the best players Maccabi ever had!

                            Sofo+Fischer+Pargo+Perkins+Blu = Dangerous team

i'd dream about fischer in and eidson out but i know fischer has a very expensive contract with real. no way he will come back

                              • You are still aware that Fischer is a center and Eidson is a guard-forward?

Fischer doesn't fit into the concept. He is very bad when switching in offense, he can't play with his back to the basket, he can't create his own shots and his one-on-one defense isn't very good, too. He is a tall center and he has a good midrange jumper. And he costs a lot. For a player who wouldn't play more than 20 minutes (rather 17-18) and cannot dominate, he is too expensive. More importantly, he is not a player for a team of MTA'S concept. Joel Freeland would rather be such a player but he is under contract with Unicaja.

Without Eidson, there will be too much streetballing and not enough team-oriented IQ on the floor. It's too tough to replace him with an adequate player but if Pnini continues his good job, he would get more minutes at the same position (SF). However, Pnini is not Eidson and can't help ou in ever department.

Having said that, I won't participate in a discussion regarding these two. The season is still under way and I don't see the need to complain about the given roster. Eidson has been the best player on MTA during the regular season at a time where Blu was not a big offensive factor and Pargo wasn't great, too. These two got their act together, while life got tougher for Eidson. So he scored less as a result. So what? His overall performance didn't suffer. He could still pass, defend and read the game, controlling the tempo. If he doesn't get any calls, he will finish a playoff game with 1/5 FG. If he gets some of the calls, he's 1/2 with six more free throws. When Pargo is in the zone and dominates the ball, while logging in major minutes, Eidson won'T score as much as shooters who are in a zone. Eidson has had seasons, where he was great from the 3PT but he is not a deadly shooter. He likes to mix things up. He is a keeper. Guys who were mentioned previously, like Matt Walsh are by any means not better scorers (remember Eidson in Vilnius?) and far worse overall players. Finally, it will be the management's decision, whether to extend him or not. I'm all for it. He is good for this team. A very unselfish and very useful player.
